About this experience
THIS TOUR IS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER TOURS! I focus on food and drinks. The main focus is drinking at each spot while we eat some great food. I provide 5 hour tours. I will be taking you around the neighborhoods that have the best food in Seoul, HANDS DOWN! There are tiny alleys that even locals don't know about! I have taken many people around here including my native Korean friends and they will agree that it is the best of the best! Just make sure to bring a huge appetite as we will be trying a ton of dishes! I do not take you to places that you will be able to find on google or are commercialized. I take you to places you would typically not be able to go to on your own. If you have dietary restrictions, please don't book or contact me first. There aren't many non-meat options. The food and drinks are NOT included in the price of the tour. Everything is cheap and you will split the cost with the other people in the group. It gives you more flexibility. This tour is NOT for kids.

Mike’s tour was awesome!
My husband and I visited Korea for the first time and we were overwhelmed with where to start or what to do. We were so lucky to have booked Mike for our food tour. He brought us to places where the locals go and he exposed us to food and drinks that we would have never tried. He was very attentive to everyone’s needs and he was very detailed when answering everyone’s questions. He really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to food and drinks! Mike was so awesome that we booked him for a private tour and that was way better than the first because he catered to our every need. Either way, you’ll have a great time with Mike! And he went above and beyond when my husband left some personal items at the hotel. We asked Mike if he could assist us by calling the hotel to see if they were able to mail us his items. Not only did Mike call the hotel, but he mailed our items to us. He’s is not only a great guide but also very kind. Our only regret was that we wished we booked him at the start of our trip because we would’ve hired him to take us to other places in Seoul. So if you want to have a great time in Korea, hire Mike. You won’t regret it!
Response from the operator: Wow! Thanks so much! It was such a pleasure meeting you guys! I had such a fun time and learned a lot from you guys as well! I hope to see you back again in the near future!

Best food tour in Seoul!!! A must try!
We had a fantastic food tour with Mike and would highly recommend both him and this tour to anyone visiting Seoul! Mike took us to hidden gems we never would have discovered on our own, and every single food and drink we tried was absolutely delicious. Beyond the amazing food, he did a wonderful job teaching us about the history behind certain dishes and sharing interesting information about the neighborhoods we explored, which made the experience even more meaningful. He was also incredibly thoughtful throughout the tour—always making sure to grab water in addition to the alcoholic drinks and consistently pointing out bathroom locations, which was greatly appreciated during a long evening of eating and walking. One thing that really stood out was how authentic the experience felt. We passed several other food tours that seemed to stay exclusively in the touristy areas, and it made us even more grateful that we chose Mike’s tour instead. If you’re looking for a food tour that goes beyond the typical tourist experience and gives you a genuine taste of Seoul, don’t hesitate to book with Mike. It was one of the highlights of our trip! Mike also made himself available for us to text throughout our stay with questions we had which was so nice to have a local as a resource!
Response from the operator: Wow! Thank you so much Jessie! Thank you so much fot your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the whole experience and got to learn and try many things you normally wouldn't. I really hope the rest of your trip was juat as great and kept eating well.

A must do food tour in Seoul!
Wish we had done this tour when we arrived in Seoul, but maybe, if we had, we wouldn’t have appreciated how special it was. We’ve been in South Korea for two weeks, eating a lot of food, but Mike introduced us to things we had not yet eaten and wonderfull versions of things we already had. The tour is so well paced with food and drinks. It makes it really enjoyable. On other food tours we find often you are given quick, successive foods that fill you up and it lessens your enjoyment of the experience. Mike’s knowledge of all things Korea, is incredible. We enjoyed hearing about the history and making of the alcohol that we drank and it was fabulous that we got taste so many different varieties. We had the most wonderful group which enhance the whole evening. Now I know why this tour is so well rated.. I would definitely recommend this tour to people that really want to explore Korean food and alcohol! We give it at a big, thumbs up!
Response from the operator: Aw thanks so much Fiona! It was such a pleasure meeting you guys! I had a ton of fun with you guys. Hope to see you guys again! Keep eating well!

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.
How much does Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.
Is Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 383 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul?
+
Around 134 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Drinking and Eating through the Alleys of Seoul start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seoul?
+
On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seoul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seoul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
