Great time in Drakensberg and Lesotho

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Lesotho and Drakensberg with Tim Brown Tours. He gave us a completely customized itinerary that allowed us to do all the things we wanted to. Highlights of the tour the Sani Pass to Lesotho and the San Rock at Game Pass Shelter. Our driver Sibo always there for us during this 4 day tour. Accommodations were great and the meals were very good. Travel can be a challenge in South Africa but we made all our stops in a timely manner. Thanks Tim for a truly memorable tour

Response from the operator: Hi Perry Thanks for your wonderful review! So pleased you enjoyed the trip with us and got to experience some of the wonders of the Drakensberg. Safe travels, we look forward to hosting you in the not so distant future. regards Tim

Super trip through Sani Pass up to Lesotho.

Amazing views as you start at Underberg and climb through Sani Pass and ultimately across the Lesotho border. The climb in the 4x4 vehicle is breathtaking and gives a great sense of the diversity of the Drakensbergs as you pass from one environment to the next. Lunch in Africa's highest pub along with the insights into life in Lesotho are a bonus. Tim was really helpful and proactive in advance of the trip and Sibo, our driver up to Underberg was great as well.

Response from the operator: Dear Ken Thanks for your lovely feedback. The Drakensberg is truly a special place to visit as is the highest Pub in Africa. Safe travels. regards Tim

Very happy senior travellers

Thank you so much for the wonderful trip. Sibo was great and a very careful driver so we had every confidence in him. Even though the weather was terrible we still got to see the top of the mountains. We will be recommending your service to all of our friends when they visit Durban. Tim kept in coms with us from the moment we contacted him which was very reassuring and he even sent us a message on the day of our trip.Book a trip with them and you will not be disappointed in the least and will have and amazing experience. One of the best tours we have had. We have travelled over 40% of the world so we are very experienced silver surfers. Regards Nigel and Julie From England

Response from the operator: Dear Nigel and Julie. Thanks for your great review. Wonderful to hear you both enjoyed the tour with sibo. Kind regards Tim

Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Durban.

How much does Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban cost?

+

Prices start at $1995 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Durban usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Durban is not rushed.

Is Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Durban, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Durban can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Durban and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Drakensberg Mountain day Tour into Lesotho from Durban start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Durban within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Durban?

+

On Outty we rank every Durban experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Culture Walking Tour of Durban, Sani Pass & Lesotho 4x4 Experience Day Tour from Durban, Discover Rorkes Drift on our Day Tour from Durban. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Durban?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Durban?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
