    Tasty food tour

Wear comfy shoes and bring a water bottle. The tour guide will ask if you have dietary restrictions at the beginning of the tour We had a great time! We tasted pumpkin ravioli, satay chicken skewers with sticky rice and papaya salad, tacos, French pastries & donuts! Everything was very tasty. Our tour guide told us about the movies that were filmed in the area, which was very interesting.

Response from the operator: Hi Anne, Thank you for joining us! We are so glad you had a great time exploring the neighborhood and tasting your way through so many different flavors. And those pumpkin ravioli, satay skewers, tacos, pastries, and donuts make for quite the lineup! Thanks for spending the day with us!

    A fun day in DTLA

The tour was fantastic! 5 yummy food stops with historical and architectural stops along the way. Our tour guide, Scarlet, was super knowledgeable of the area and since we had a smaller group, she seemed to taylor it a little more to us. We spent 3 hours out and about - it didn’t feel rushed and also didn’t feel like we were killing time along the way. Well worth the time and money, highly recommend

Response from the operator: Hi Mandi, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are pleased to hear that Scarlet made your experience such a memorable one. We love when our guides can make each tour feel personal and give guests a chance to really connect with the city. We will be sure to share your kind words with Scarlet!

    Awesome tour with Isa!

We ate some of the best food in DTLA, visited many of its most iconic spots, and learned so much about the area’s history—much of which I had no idea about. We had a fantastic time, and the tour ended up being the highlight of our trip. It was also a great value for the experience. Highly recommend! 🌞

Response from the operator: Hi Michael, This is exactly the kind of review that makes our day! We love hearing that the tour gave you a fresh perspective on DTLA and became such a memorable part of your trip! Thanks for spending the day with us and for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We’d love to have you back for another food-filled adventure in the future!

Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Angeles.

How much does Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Angeles is not rushed.

Is Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 533 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Los Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour?

    +

Around 187 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?

    +

Los Angeles rewards travellers who cluster their bookings by geography rather than by theme. Studio tours and Hollywood walks sit inland, the Malibu and Santa Monica coast runs west, and Griffith Observatory and the canyon hikes work best at dawn or dusk. We weight transport clarity in the ranking here: whether pickup is included changes an LA day more than the tour itself. On Outty we rank every Los Angeles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hollywood Sign 2.5-Hour Tour with Comedians and Their Dogs, Los Angeles Hollywood Sign Hike: Front, Behind, and Expert Guide, Griffith Observatory Hike: Guided Tour through Griffith Park. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Angeles?

    +

March to May and September to November, for clear air and open canyon roads. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Angeles?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour?

    +

Included: Water; Professional guide; and Food tastings. Not included: Hotel pick and drop-off; Additional food and drinks; and Gratuities. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

What languages is Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Downtown Los Angeles Food Tour?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
