Disappointed and very anti-animal
Disappointed though... I was so looking forward to this excursion, but once we arrived at the harbor I already knew it wouldn't be an intimate, relaxed experience. Masses of boats and even more tourists... Once arrived, we saw fleeting dolphins, but these animals were chased and terrorized by tourists and speedboats from all sides. Not nice to see and realize that you are part of it. REALLY ANIMAL-FRIENDLY. Stress of having to quickly catch up with your guide, amidst the chaos of the other snorkelers. 15 minutes snorkeling, then 20 minutes swimming until they come pick you up again. I am in love with dolphins, and thought I could experience something magical today, but it was a real flop.

An absolute disaster for us, not suitable for beginners.
Never again, an absolute disaster... Outbound trip: large bus packed to the last seat with tons of pickup stops; while snorkeling, our assigned German guide took off without us, we waited forever on the boat while everyone else was snorkeling, upon asking and my desperate search, someone finally took care of it and took us onto the boat to snorkel... he seemed as if he had no training at all... he spoke almost nothing to us, not even English, communication only briefly with hand signals. I had three children with me; during the first attempt in the water, my teenage daughter was almost swept away and only brought back after I called out; the second time, the guide wanted to send everyone into the water even though the swim ring was still in there. I told him my little son needed the ring first; he took the ring, suddenly grabbed my son, and jumped into the water with him without warning, and to top it all off, he let go of him there. I went in right after... the little one was flailing, screaming, and thank God immediately tore off the full-face snorkel mask that had filled with water. I rushed to him, helped him, and tried to calm him down, but he was just terrified and wanted to get out; he is traumatized for life - that should not have happened - especially since I explicitly pointed out to the German guide at the beginning that we are all beginners and especially the little one is still inexperienced and anxious!!! The rest of the family, who stayed in the water longer, of course also saw no dolphins because, unlike the others, they had much less time in the water... of course, I complained on-site, but nothing was really done to make it right, not even a second real attempt so that we "adults" could possibly still see dolphins... it was really very!!!! Disappointing!!!!

Never again!!
The trip itself was way to long, our booking agent told us 2 hrs with a bus and 2 hrs on a boat. In the end it took us two and a half hours with the bus (including driver smoking breaks along the road) and 3 1/2 hrs with the boat. The boat itself was total chaos. It stopped about 01 minutes when we left from the harbor and we we’re floating steerless in heavy waves. Our children were panicking and no-one told us what was happening. Another boat had to tow us further on the Red Sea, and after 3 and a half hrs we finally arrived at our destination. The snorkeling itself was approximately 30 minutes and yes we saw dolphins for 2 times nevertheless the girls lost half of their bikini’s when they’re pulled manually inside the boat. The same boat ran over me while I was launched for snorkeling. After lunch we were in the water and guided to some coral to make some photos which we’re sold for 20 euro’s. The boat trip back was heavier due to even heavier waves in combination with Captain “Candy Crush” wo seemed to have more attention for his phone than rather steering the boat (three other ships wo left appromiximately left 20 minutes later even passed us by). So in the end we we’re exhausted from fear from traveling for 60 minutes of snorkeling to see the dolphins who played hide and seek with the boat loads of tourists on Sataya. Never again….
