What you get

    About this experience

This tour explores the Indian River Lagoon, one of North America’s most ecologically diverse estuaries. Paddling in a clear kayak or on a paddleboard offers a rare vantage point to observe dolphins, manatees (seasonal), stingrays, fish, and other marine life around and beneath you. The lagoon supports thousands of species, making every outing a dynamic wildlife experience. While sightings are never guaranteed, dolphins are frequently seen here and manatees are commonly spotted during seasonal movements. Unlike motorized tours, this small-group paddle allows for a quieter, more natural wildlife encounter. Calm waters make it beginner-friendly, and small children can ride with an adult on our larger clear kayaks or stable paddleboards. This close-to-the-water perspective and guided interpretation create one of the most immersive ways to experience Florida’s coastal ecosystem.

Kayaking with Dolphins & Manatees – An Unforgettable Experience

We had such a great time kayaking—definitely a highlight! We were lucky enough to see both dolphins and manatees up close, which made the whole experience feel really special. Bryce was fantastic—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip fun and easy for everyone. Highly recommend

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this great feedback. We are so happy that you had a good time! Jenny

    Didn’t give us our pics

We had a great time but called several times for our photos and never received them. This was after giving a good review on google and tipping. We called about 5-6 times, left messages and did speak to someone who said they would post the pictures and never received them. Not sure what happened.

Response from the operator: There must be some technical difficulties with these complimentary photos. Give our offices a call at 4073008781 and we'll have our management send them to you directly.

Super fun activity! Great for couples and kids!

Steve Granger was a great guide! Not only did we see Manatee, alligators and a ton of birds, we learned so much from him about the history and back story of the facility. I highly recommend this trip. I only have one negative thing to say - Steve took a lot of great pictures and said we could get them. I didn't know I would have to pay for the link, but I did go ahead and pay $10 to get 5 pictures which included 3 videos. However, I couldn't access the videos bc the site required me to download some other program to see them. :( Steve needs to make sure to let people know there is an extra charge for the pictures. Had I known they weren't "free" I would have taken more myself.

Response from the operator: There is never a charge for photos with us. Under Gallery on our website, you can access our complimentary photos for free. I'm not sure what exactly you clicked into. If you need some guidance, feel free to call our office we are happy to help! I'm so glad you had an incredible time with our amazing guides. We love it out there!

    Incredible and peaceful

It was an incredible experience, the nature and wildlife were beautiful. My guide, Bryce, was exceptional. He knew everything about the area, everything about the wildlife and so gentle with care of nature! I would take this tour every day if I could 🦋🐙🦐🐠🪼🦈🦤

It’s the one I will remember and most likely will repeat.

Was awesome! The pace is very comfortable, no rush, a lot of attention and dedication from Bryce. He actually is a walking (perhaps more accurately - floating :) encyclopedia. I learned a lot about wildlife there (birds, trees, dolphins) but also we had just very friendly and pleasant conversation. A dolphin, did appear, and was quite active on his own :). And photos, was a great bonus (free of charge). All in all I had a great time, will definitely recommend this tour to friends of mine and certainly will bring my family next time.

Response from the operator: How wonderful!!! Bryce is amazing! We are so happy you had such a memorable experience with us! We definitely look forward to having you with us again in the future!

Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.

How much does Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.

Is Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dolphin and Manatee Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?

    +

March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
