Shattered hopes.
It was very unfortunate to have my event cancelled only a few hours before my event. I could have planned another activity to make the most of my time in Honolulu. I understand not having enough people to feel the trip was worth while, but I think there was a lack of consideration in not informing me the trip could be cancelled when they called to confirm the night before.

Sergei for the win 🏆
The highlight of the tour was our guide/driver, Sergei!!! He is a history teacher, has lived on the island almost all his life, and he is so knowledgeable about the history of Hawaii. It was such a pleasure to spend time listening about the history and culture of the beautiful islands of Hawaii. I had never been to the Dole Plantation, so that was a fun little stop to get some Dole Whip. I would have enjoyed having a little more time at this stop to ride the Pineapple Express Train. The next stop was the rum distillery. Everyone seemed to enjoy the tasting, and they have a really cute gift shop to purchase rum, chocolate, shirts, glasses, etc. The last stop was the zipline. This was a fun little activity, and we lucked out with some great weather around 5:30pm. Overall, this tour has something for everyone. Oh, and the communication when I initially booked the tour up until the day before was excellent. Thank you to Ashley for making me feel comfortable about the pick up spot and time. (Sergei was right on time as well for the pickup) I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends, but I would make sure they ask for Sergei!
Response from the operator: Sergei is exactly the kind of guide who makes a day like this, carrying Hawaii's history because he has lived it, from the Dole Plantation to the Ko Hana tasting to that late-afternoon zipline. We will gladly pass your thanks to him and to Ashley, and we hear you on wanting a little more time for the Pineapple Express, which is a good reason to come back. Mahalo for traveling with us, and for telling the next traveler to ask for Sergei.

A great day in Honalulu
When we were picked up by our Driver/guide Joe and his partner Darlene we were notified that we were the only ones on the tour that day. We were treated to an entire day of personalized service from them both. Our 1st stop was the Dole plantation and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. We learned a lot about pineapples that we never realized. While there we got a chance to shop a bit and enjoy some Dole whip (yum). Our next stop was KoHana distillers where we learned of there rum making process and met a big turtle (Tom?) We then had our own private rum tasting that was very informative and tasty. We had the option to purchase some of their fine products. (the honey is amazing) For our 3rd and final stop it was Zip lining. Again we had our own personal guides Kyle and Kylie. Kyle and Kylie were amazing. We had so much fun with them and they took everything at our pace. The zip line were great but Kyle and Kylie really made the whole thing special for us. With many thanks to Joe/Darlene and Kyle/Kylie, it really made for a truly memorable day. Highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Aloha James, mahalo for such a detailed recap of the day. It sounds like Joe, Darlene, Kyle, and Kylie all brought their best — and having the tour to yourselves is one of those lucky breaks that makes everything feel extra special. From the Dole Plantation grounds to the rum tasting at Ko Hana to the ziplines, that combo packs a lot into one outing. Glad every stop delivered. — The Malama Tours Team

Great Experience
Our tour was so much fun, would definitely do another tour with them. Our tour guide Joe was the best and have us great information.
Response from the operator: Mahalo, Janish — so glad the combo tour hit the mark. Joe has a way of making each stop feel special, and it sounds like your group had a great day out. Oʻahu has no shortage of adventures if you’re ever looking for round two. — The Malama Tours Team

Amazing tour with highlighted sites and experiences
This was the BEST combo for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the drivers commentary of the island while driving to the famous Dole Plantation and then to KoHana Rum Distilleries (Never been before and thought it was so yummy!) the kids had gelato and we enjoyed Local Rum tastings. We ended the afternoon at Coral Crater for the 3 ziplines. We cannot recommend this tour enough! Thank you Malama Tours
Response from the operator: Aloha — mahalo for coming back with a second review. It’s clear the whole family found something to enjoy, from the plantation and distillery tastings to the zipline adventure. That kind of variety in one afternoon is exactly what this combo was designed for. — The Malama Tours Team

Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.
How much does Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $207 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.
Is Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dole Plantation, Ko Hana Rum and 3 Zipline Adventure Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oahu?
+
On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oahu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oahu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
