    Great day out!

We had an amazing day out to the national park! The park itself is beautiful, we saw lots just in 1 day. Our guide was Nana and we had Bank as our driver. Nana was very funny and knowledgable about what she does! We had the best time, definitely recommend as a must do when your in Chiang Mai!

Response from the operator: Your 5-star rating means the world to us! We're glad to know that you were completely satisfied with your experience.

    Timeline is incorrect

The tour is 5,5 Hours not 10. The time in the Mountains is short and only a guided path. Don’t expect views from the highest point or the Valley below. Its all trees. No time to wander. Time a twin pagodes 40min not 2,5h. Lunchstop is overpriced spicy and Outside. English of the guide could be better. Time at waterfall 20 Min and the Village was staged.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations, especially regarding the tour duration, time spent at each stop, lunch experience, and guide communication. We truly value your comments, as they help us identify areas for improvement. Your feedback will be shared with the relevant team for review and consideration. We appreciate your honest review and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

    Poor customer service, avoid

Very frustrating experience with the tour operator’s head office customer service. They use an AI agent that I was going around in circles with the evening before my tour, during their operating hours. I received conflicting information from their AI agent about my pick-up time, telling me it was confirmed and then unconfirmed. It was also asking me for paperwork which I had submitted already. Tired of its hallucinations, I then tried to confirm the pick-up with the tour guide via text, but she was not responding, leading me to doubt whether she would actually show up. The next morning, I still could not connect with a human agent, but the guide finally texted me back. As for the tour, it ending up being meh as the guide’s English was heavily accented making it difficult to understand. TLDR: it’s not worth the stress of dealing with a large, impersonal tour company like Trip Guru. It’s better to go with a smaller, local operator where there is an actual human.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear about the frustration you encountered, especially with the conflicting information, difficulty reaching support, and the communication challenges during the tour. We completely understand how this could impact your overall experience, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Your feedback is very important to us, and we will take this into account as we work on improving both our customer support and tour experience.

    Not Recommended for various reasons

Unfortunately, this operator excludes necessary costs to make their tour more financially attractive. Yes, we knew entrance fees were excluded. No problem, and lunch was excluded. That's fine, we can make our own arrangements, but on arrival at the lunch stop, in a Karen village, 1 option was available with a set menu and set price. 200thb per person for 5 courses. Each dish was a normal standard size serve that was shared on our table by 4 people. About 400thb in food with a charge of 800thb. When lunch is excluded, options must be made available. Then onto our guide, Jackie. Lovely bloke but did not cater for a diverse age group of tourists. A rushed walk on the national park walkways saw us catching the group halfway through Jackie's commentary. We were enjoying the nice walk but missed out on much of the info. Next, the minibus. Our bus was ready for the scrap heap. It was incredibly dirty inside. I bet seats had never been cleaned and the suspension is stuffed. A ridiculously rough ride.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your tour experience was not up to your expectations. Could you please share more details by sending us an email at reservations@thetripguru.com so that we can improve our service?

Great Day with a wonderful guide

Doi Inthanon - Great Day- Very Good Guide - Recommend The pick-up location was very busy and confusing as several tours and other organizations were using the same pick-up location. Our instructions were to look for our guide in a green shirt. However, it was a chilly morning, and she had a jacket on and made it more difficult to locate her. Once we got started, our guide Leela was great. She was organized, patient, and had a lot of good information to share. The tour was well paced so there was ample time at each site. Walked to the highest point in Thailand, visited the King and Queen Pagodas. Especially enjoyed visiting the coffee village and the waterfall. The Yod Doi Nature Trail was a lovely walk with great views. Enjoyed lunch spot with good food.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that Leela made your Doi Inthanon tour enjoyable with her knowledge, patience, and organization. It’s great that you loved the King and Queen Pagodas, Yod Doi Nature Trail, coffee village, and the waterfall. We truly appreciate your recommendation!

Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.

How much does Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $43 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.

Is Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 253 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour?

    +

Around 89 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Doi Inthanon National Park Eco-Friendly Full Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
