The best experience on our trip!!
This tour was the absolute BEST thing that we did while in Iceland. Klara was our guide and went above and beyond for us. We had booked in advance as recommended, but when it came closer to the date we realized that the weather would not be cooperating for our tour, as such things commonly happen in Iceland. They were able to move us up to the tour scheduled a few days before the one we booked and the day was absolutely perfect. It’s incredible to see the love that she and her brother have for their dogs, and vice versa. The dogs are extremely well trained and well cared for, and you can tell they absolutely LOVE what they do. They are so sweet, energetic, powerful, and love a scratch from the people on the tour. I even got to help out in a VERY special way as one of the lead dogs, Girard, took a liking to me (which is apparently not very common) and Klara asked that I stood with him to keep him in place while she was helping her brothers group redirect after a slight detour, that Girard himself may have caused 😂 As former Husky owners, this experience was near and dear to our hearts and a dream tour to do. If we ever get the chance to return to Iceland, we’d absolutely book with them again and we’ll recommend them to anyone we know who is planning to visit. Thank you again to Klara and her whole team!! We’ll look back on this experience for our lifetime.

Must have Icelandic experience
Amazing experience. The dogs were the stars, but the people were great too. Such enthusiasm for and love of the dogs. I was hoping for snow but it just as much fun on the carts. I think the only thing you miss with no snow is the silence. I really recommend, exciting but safe. I am 76 and had no feeling that I was out of my comfort zone.

Brilliant fun, great team, happy dogs
A wonderful experience - especially for dog lovers, as you get to play with all the four-legged team members! Even though our tour was in December, the only real snow was in the mountains, so the sleds were wheeled - this didn't stop the tour from being brilliant fun! Prior to booking, we had a few questions which were answered fully and promptly by Klara. Collected by Ziggi at a bus stop 2 minutes walk from our hotel, we were driven in comfort to a valley 25 mins or so outside Reykjavik (the round-trip journey is included in the cost). Klara's friendliness and passion for her dogs shone through immediately and we were encouraged to make a fuss of the dogs - who were all obviously very happy to meet new people and - more importantly - to be going for their run! They behaved like well-loved family dogs, which was lovely to see, and during the tour we were introduced to every single pack member by name and with a fun bio of each of their characters. Klara delivered a brilliant tour, with a great commentary throughout the ride. There are beautiful photo opportunities, and the whole experience left us with a much greater appreciation for this wonderful country, and amazing memories of a small team of people and a large team of dogs very much enjoying their work in the picturesque wilderness. 100% recommended if you're stopping in/near Reykjavik.

Poor
Feel really upset that I have to write this but we booked the Snow tour several weeks ago, with high expectations bases on the fantastic reviews this company had. I was emailed last week to say that due to a lack of snow the experience could not go ahead and that we could cancel or have the dry land experience. For the money we were paying I feel that the dry land experience would not have been worth it so chose to cancel. We have now been charged in excess of £70 - I understand that the lack of snow is not something the company can change but how can that amount be justified - they cant provide us the service they offered?

A must do experience when visiting Iceland
We had such an amazing experience! A big thank you to Klara and her human and dog team for experiencing Iceland in a different way. It was lovely to learn more about dogsledding as a craft, as well as appreciating the work and most importantly talents required from both the musher and the dogs. The scenery was amazing too. We had originally booked a snow tour but as the snow was a no show Klara accommodated one on dry land. Many thanks for having us!
