Don’t bother
Overrated - I felt like I was at Applebees. Certainly something you can skip. The view is great and the slides are fun but the food processed and two thumbs down!

Day Trippin
We could have done without visiting the Beach -- our resort was on a private beach so that was an unnecessary part for us. It's always cool to hang out at Margaritaville but it was a little too early for us and we were the only ones there -- well until one of the boats arrived with a lot of youngsters. I liked the hip strip but our driver suggested one place in particular so we pretty much shopped there.

Margaritaville, Cave Beach Hip-Strip shopping
Cave Beach wasn't as long in distance as I had hoped. There were concrete barriers reaching to the beach separating one resort from another so wallking long distances wasn't possible without climbing over or around separating barriers. There was shopping but not enough time to do much of it. The locals were very friendly & willing to have their photo taken. My biggest disappointment was what I thought would be a group venture was actually a private driver/guide tour for 2 persons. The driver was very informative, his English was learned in Virginia so I had no trouble understanding our conversations. However because he spent so much time with us, my friend & I felt obligated to tip him $100 for his entire day with us. All in all it was money well spent.

Doctor's Cave Beach is very beautiful and uniquely located on the Hip Strip. As you mentioned, it has jetties at both ends. They were built to accommodate boarding boats such as catamarans for party cruises and glass bottom boats for snorkeling and scuba trips in the past. Time for shopping is totally up to the customer. There are 5 hours allotted and the customer has a right to decide how much time is spent at each location. We only request that since it is a "Shared" trip, we would like all our guest to be at the return pickup point at a specific time. It was not a group venture because on the day of the tour we had a big group. The coach has a capacity of 52 seats, we had 53 guests. This left us with less than the minimum amount of persons to to dispatch another vehicle (our minimum is 4 persons) however, instead of cancelling or rescheduling, we decided to give you your own transportation as a good will gesture. On your next trip to Jamaica, we would love to take you on a Negril Day Trip to Seven Miles Beach! Please, give us the opportunity! There, you can walk 7 miles from one end to the next. Party boat tour
We were not aware there were two different party boats. So if you want more that just your group of people reserve the boat called the Dreamer!

Big waste of time and money.
Margaritaville is overpriced, loud and not very clean. Won't be going there again. $85 for 4 drinks is a bit much. They were not even big fancy drinks either. Doctors Cave is not very safe. We had more shopping opportunities at the port. And felt safer too.
