Imjingak Peace Park is the symbolic gateway to the DMZ and a place that offers deep insight into the Korean War. The Third Tunnel is one of the most well-known sites in the DMZ. Stretching 1,635 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2 meters high, it was secretly built by North Korea as an invasion route into South Korea. The tunnel is large enough for an entire military division to pass through at once and was designed to transport troops, weapons, and ammunition. Remarkably, it was excavated using only basic tools and dynamite and was discovered in the 1970s following information from a North Korean defector.

Excellent guide (Sky). Some hiccups with starting time brought forward and lake visit cancelled through insufficient numbers, but the trip to DMZ went very smoothly with no delays. Definitely recommend this private tour.

Michael our trip guide was simply amazing. So full of energy and facts. He ensured that our small group reached DMZ at a time which ensured our access to the the tunnels via monorail. He is engaging and thoughtful. He made sure we were taken care of . He took us to authentic lunch which was superb. The man is very talented and I highly recommend that you use this small group tour as it feels intimate and 1 on 1 rather than a herd in a bus full of 60 plus tourists. I really enjoyed my time with him
