Highlight of the cruise!

This was a great tour that we really enjoyed! We saw the beautiful sites and learned about marseille! We were the only ones on this tour which made it extra nice! The bikes were easy to use as well. We are from the US and not used to biking on city roads so it was a little different at first but it seems like cars respect the bicyclists. Matt pointed out various sites and we made several stops for further commentary. We were back within 3 hours and he gave us fresh water and called us a cab. Really nice day and highly recommend. The views are beautiful.

American family of 4 with 2 young adults

Matthew owns the business and he was our personal tour guide. He was wonderful and his English was excellent. We had plenty of opportunities to stop and take pictures of the scenery. I have never had such an easy time going uphill on a bicycle. This was my first e bike experience and I was wowed. He gave us ice cold water when we were finishes with the tour and he watched over our bikes as we went inside a couple of cathedrals. He provided saddle bags to carry our small personal items including water bottles. Bring your own TP or Kleenex in case the public bathroom stops have none. We will definitely do one of Matthew’s tours again the next time we visit Marseille.

Response from the operator: I am truly delighted that you enjoyed the ride with me. I always do my best to ensure a successful experience and that my guests leave with fond memories of Marseille. A stunning city, quality bikes, and an attentive guide—I hope that adds up to a great experience! Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I look forward to seeing you again.

Best way to see the city!!

Just finished our 7 day Mediterranean cruise and this was hands down one of our favorite excursions! We are a family of 3 teenagers with 2 middle aged parents. It was a great way to see the city in the hot summer! Such a refreshing change from the tour bus and walking tours we had done before. The e bikes were very easy to operate and use even for those of us not so young and fit. Our guide Mathieu was wonderful! We had time to explore a few spots on the tour and learned so much about this beautiful city. Great experience for all of us!

Response from the operator: Thank you, Renee, for your wonderful review! I do my best to ensure a successful and safe experience for the whole family! To achieve this, I chose high-quality e-bikes, while Marseille itself and my three-plus years of experience as a guide do the rest. Thanks again for sharing your experience with future travelers.

I am always very vigilant to ensure the safety of my clients, especially children! I wish you a wonderful holiday in the Mediterranean.

Discovery of Marseille by electric bike: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marseille.

How much does Discovery of Marseille by electric bike cost?

+

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marseille usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Discovery of Marseille by electric bike take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marseille is not rushed.

Is Discovery of Marseille by electric bike worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marseille, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Discovery of Marseille by electric bike?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Discovery of Marseille by electric bike suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Discovery of Marseille by electric bike?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marseille can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marseille and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Discovery of Marseille by electric bike start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marseille within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marseille?

+

On Outty we rank every Marseille experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marseille Food Tour – Full Meal of Local Tastes by Do Eat Better, Beyond Bouillabaisse: Diving into Marseille’s Multicultural Stew, Marseille Guided Tour for 4 Hours with a Bilingual Local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marseille?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marseille?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
