About this experience
During this adventure we will take you to know several places and monuments of enormous value. We start with the Sanctuary of Fátima, a place of worship for Christians that leaves no one indifferent. It was here that three humble children saw several apparitions and that to this day move thousands of pilgrims only through something so difficult to explain, Faith. Here we will also visit the Wax Museum where through various sculptures in this material we can get to know the life story of the 3 little shepherds. In the afternoon we will explore two historical monuments: the Monastery of Alcobaça and the Monastery of Batalha. Both impressive, were built with different purposes. In the first one, we will get to know the life of the monks in times gone by, all their daily lives without ever losing sight of the whole dimension of the building where they lived, in the second we will see an impressive monument that resulted from a historic battle for the Portuguese people.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

How many days do you need in Coimbra?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
