Horrible experience and unprofessional customer service. You can spend your money with a different tour company that is more reliable and professional.
Response from the operator: We take genuine customer feedback very seriously. However, we cannot find any booking, tour, or service under your name in our records. If you have actually booked or travelled with Jahongir Premium Tours, please contact us with your booking name or reference so we can investigate and address any issue properly. If you have never booked or travelled with us, we kindly ask that you remove this review, as posting a negative review about a service you did not use is misleading to other travelers. Program too dense for a day
The guide was very dedicated, helpful and adorable, but unfortunately he did not speak English. The tour program is very pretentious for one day from Samarkand. For example, we did not go to the village of Voru which was too far in the mountains, not to mention the very bad condition of the roads...This excursion has a lot of road and stops are very short...

Beautiful 7 Lakes area tour
While traveling around Uzbekistan, I used Jahongir to book a 2 day/1 night side trip to Tajikistan 7 Lakes region and the city of Panjakent. Other than my messages continually going to his spam, it was easy enough to book & set up the trip, and everything went as planned from Jahongir's side of things. I enjoyed the tour itself, and had a nice, helpful guide & driver(s) for the 2 days. My guide was flexible, and one of the highlights for me was when we stopped on the side of the road to see a festival in this small village. I was able to interact with local villagers who aren't used to tourists, through my guide as an interpreter. I also very much liked seeing the lakes and that my guide was willing to hike with me, as requested. The 7 Lakes are truly beautiful, with snow-capped mountains in the background, but dress warmly as the wind can be mighty cold! Panjakent is an interesting little city, but there isn't a whole lot for tourists. The museum was freezing, but otherwise well-done, with artifacts from the ancient civilizations found nearby, and throughout the history of Panjakent. However, I do think the tour could've been organized a little better, and that there would have been a little more direction/information given. After some discussion, the itinerary was changed while in the car driving to the border, switching days for the planned activities. I actually think it made more sense this way, but I would've preferred to discuss it in advance so I could dress/prepare/pack appropriately for the day. Knowing a bit more of the distances for the hike would've been great so that we could've planned how far we wanted to walk in order to still see all the lakes. I think my guide, who was very kind, was just trying to be accommodating, but I hired him since he knew the local language, food, customs, geography etc. far better than me, and I could've used a bit more guidance overall. That said, I requested the 2 day overnight version, but since that's not one they normally offer, the 1 day trip might be laid out much better.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the 7 Lakes and Panjikent tour and had memorable experiences interacting with the locals. We appreciate your suggestions for improvement, especially regarding the itinerary and hike details. We’ll work on providing clearer information in advance to help future travelers better prepare. Thank you again for choosing our tour, and we hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon! Sincerely, Zafar

Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Samarkand.
How much does Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Samarkand usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Samarkand is not rushed.
Is Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Samarkand, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Samarkand can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Samarkand and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Discover the Majestic 7 Lakes of Tajikistan from Samarkand start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Samarkand within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Samarkand?
+
On Outty we rank every Samarkand experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include A City Tour Of Samarkand: The Pearl Of The East, Private Samarkand City Tour with Transport: Inside Attractions, Seven Lakes Day Tour from Samarkand (Private & Group Options). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Samarkand?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Samarkand?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
