The jetty stretches quite far out into the bay and is lined on either side with boats of all descriptions. Big Buddha Temple

Also known as Wat Phra Yai, Big Buddha Temple has a 300 feet high image of Lord Buddha and is the most prominent landmark of Pattaya. The huge image was established in 1977 and is often referred to as Luang Phor Yhai or Big Buddha by the locals. The hilltop location of the image also sets it apart from many other attractions in the city. A long stairway leads to the mighty Buddha image and various smaller images surround the huge masterpiece on the hill. Wat Phra Yai is located on Khao Phra Tamnak Hill, which is a popular vantage point in Pattaya offering beautiful city and bay views. If you are driving up to the hill, you will see the Big Buddha image from a far off distance as well.

Great experience for a quick tour of Pattaya
Nice experience for a quick tour of Pattaya (1/2 day), even if I rating 3/5. We enjoyed the proposed places, only missing in our opinion the visit of the Shrine of Truth. We would have liked to visit this Sanctuary instead of the GEMs Gallery Pattaya which presents a completely outdated animation and where they absolutely want to sell us their jewelry. What is described in the announcement does not correspond, in terms of organization, to what has been done! The RV on the ad was at 8:00 and the guide arrived only at 9:00 with the driver. It was also noted that they could pick us up in front of some hotels. After I asked, I was denied that solution. The guide was very kind, but no added value during the visits. She let us visit the sites alone without explanation.

Took this tour to gain some culture in Pattaya. I knew I'd learn some but didn't know how much. My tour guide was so helpful and knowledgeable about the city and its history. He took every opportunity to explain everything and took lots of photos. I am leaving Pattaya with a much better understanding of this city and its roots. Definitely recommend this service, you won't be disappointed.
