Cold but breathtaking
Our time here at Casa Sola was absolutely amazing. It was cold, but our tour outside was definitely worth it. The views were immaculate. Andrea was super friendly and a very wonderful guide! Our visit lasted for about an hour and a half and we needed up getting some wine and balsamic vinegar sent back to the USA! Bravo Bravo!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that, even in the crisp late-November weather, you still enjoyed the tour and the beauty of our vineyards — winter gives Chianti a unique charm. We’re also glad you brought a taste of Casa Sola back to the USA with our wines and balsamic vinegar — may they remind you of your time here! Bravo to you, and we hope to welcome you back again soon! 🍷💛 Matteo & Casa Sola Team

Really Unfortunate Experience
I try really hard not to be perceived as the obnoxious American, preferring instead to blend in and be quiet compared to the stereotype. From the outset, it seemed like my partner and I could never do or say anything right. It seemed to be worse when it was me, so I just shut up, letting my partner do the talking. Even my partner stopped interacting as much. After buying almost 200 euros of product, I unfortunately ended up waiting on my partner as he went to the bathroom, leaving me stuck with the owner after a visit that I badly wanted to end. The owner then proceeded to ask me questions and totally brushed me off because he clearly didn’t care and was just trying to fill dead space, so I just shut up yet again. I left in tears (and I’m not quick to cry) as this was our last night in Tuscany and I felt like I had ruined it for my partner. I don’t know if the owner was having a bad day or hates Americans as he was perfectly pleasant to the two Italian women who were on the tour with us. It doesn’t even really matter why. There was a 15 minute conversation at the sampling table where my partner and I were completely excluded as we don’t speak Italian. We sat there, feeling so awkward. I wish we hadn’t gone on this tour as this isn’t how I wished to remember my last night. We were so excited for this experience and are so sad we left with these memories. The wine was good, but unfortunately soured by the experience.
Response from the operator: Dear Brittany, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We take every guest’s feedback very seriously, and it truly pains us to know that you left Casa Sola feeling unheard, excluded, or unwelcome. This is the opposite of what we strive for. One of the strengths our guests often recognize is our tailored and attentive approach — engaging both newcomers and wine enthusiasts with the same care and enthusiasm, even during group experiences. I am deeply sorry that we failed to convey this during your visit, and even more so that I did not recognize your discomfort in the moment. That is entirely on us. At Casa Sola, we warmly welcome visitors from all over the world, and many of our most loyal and appreciated guests come from the United States. The thought that you felt out of place, especially on your last night in Tuscany, is truly disheartening. We are grateful that you enjoyed the wine itself, and truly thankful for the bottles you decided to take home. Should you ever wish to give us another chance, it would be our privilege to welcome you with the warmth, attention, and respect every guest deserves. Warm regards, Matteo and The Casa Sola Family

A wonderful wine-tasting experience
Being a local, I’ve had plenty of lovely wine-tasting experiences in the Chianti Classico area, but the experience we recently had at Fattoria Casa Sola was one of the better! The breathtaking view, the tour of the cellars, the beautiful wines ( the Gran Selezione Chianti Classico 2016 almost made us cry with happiness!), the antipasti that came with it, and the skilled and wonderful sommelier Andrea who professionally guided us with his knowledge, passion for wine, inspiring stories, and fun and friendly personality, made this an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back and recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic and wonderful Chianti Classico wine experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🍷 We are delighted that your visit to Casa Sola, the breathtaking views, the cellar tour, our wines, and the food made your experience unforgettable. Knowing that the Gran Selezione 2016 touched you so deeply fills us with pride. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another authentic Chianti Classico journey! Matteo & the Casa Sola Team

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Discover Chianti Through its Wines: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Discover Chianti Through its Wines cost?
+
Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Discover Chianti Through its Wines take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Discover Chianti Through its Wines worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 155 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Discover Chianti Through its Wines?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Discover Chianti Through its Wines suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Discover Chianti Through its Wines?
+
Around 54 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Discover Chianti Through its Wines start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
