Buyer Beware. This Company Overbooks!!! Causing Itinerary Issues
Tour operator intentionally booked for the wrong day. So we did not get to experience the cruise. I was very upset and disappointed as we only had one night. I believe that is their regular business practice to ensure they sell out since there were was another group of 3 people that had the same issue. They create disappointment travelers. They need to do better.
Response from the operator: Dear Love_B, It is obvios that something went wrong with your booking, and we are very sorry that your trip was spoilt. However I can guarantee that there is absolutely no policy of overbooking by our company, and never will be. Also we would never intentionally book on the wrong date for a guest, there would be no reason for doing so! Having said that, we are human, and sometime mistakes do happen, and if we did make a mistake with your booking, we are truley sorry, but can 100% guarantee that this was not as a result of an intentional act. There are 3 companies that do the dinner cruise, and we do work between each other, and no-one has an overbooking policy. However if this cruise was our booking, I do really apologise from our side if this mistake was made by our staff. If you ever come back this way, we would like to offer you a cruise on us.

Well worth it!
Well organised. The cruise was everything it said it would be. Great food, amazing vistas and a herd of elephants crossing the river right in front of us.
Response from the operator: Hi Julie, A sunset cruise on the Zambezi River followed by great dinner on the boat is obviously one of the favourite activities in Victoria Falls, and we are so glad we met your expectations, thank you for the great review.

Amazing Way to Spend an Evening!
Wonderful excursion! Left on time. Lots to drink and the food was excellent! The staff was friendly and attentive. Beautiful sunset. We only wish it left a bit sooner so that there was more daylight. Once it got dark, there was nothing to see. Still, a wonderful night on the river.
Response from the operator: Hi Richard, Thank you for your great review, we are so glad that you enjoyed it. We do take note of your comment on the daylight hours, and it is something that is being considered. There are many factors to consider, some people thing that 6 pm os too early to have dinner, and earlier times do mak it difficuly for guests arriving on the lunchtime flights. It is however being considered. Please visit again soon.

A great relaxing and enjoyable experience.
This was a great evening. The bus collecting lots did take a while but was worth it in the end. We arrived and was quickly shown upstairs to a great relaxing comfortable chair area. With a welcome drink. Very nice. Then we choose our meal of choice, from the 4 courses. Plus asked what drink we had, I did not realise but the one I booked came with complimentary drinks. Wow. They did not stop flowing, with a wide choice. I can recommend the falls gin, and African pinotage. We sailed towards the falls, then around a very latge Iland in the middle of the Zambezi. Stunning. One side was zambi, the other Zimbabwe. Truly stunning, we spotted lots of Rhino, apparently a Croc (I am sure it was log) and other wildlife. The sunset was awesome, sat back enjoy a drink with such a gorgeous sunset. Although lots of people on the boat it did not appear busy or rushed. Just brilliant. After sunset we were asked to move downstairs to the dinning area, still outside, and had the most wonderful dinner. Still drinks flowing. We had the best/most relaxing time for our last night in this amazing country. A brilliant way to end that part of our holiday. I can not recommend this enough. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me and my wife did.

How long does Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls take?

Is Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 209 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Victoria Falls, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls?
+

Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Victoria Falls can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Victoria Falls and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Victoria Falls within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Victoria Falls?
+
On Outty we rank every Victoria Falls experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe side), Zambezi River Class IV-V White-Water Rafting from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe & Zambia: Guided Tour of the Falls from Both Sides. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Victoria Falls?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
