At the desert camp, get a welcome in a typical way with Dates, Sweets, and Qahwa (Arabic Coffee). Feel the real Bedouin encampment as you sit in open air or Majlis - cushions and low tables to sit on with carpets spread all over. Near the camp, take a ride in a Camel caravan/group. You may also witness the sunset view (subject to the situation, not guaranteed) from the sunset dune, close to Camp. Back at Camp, enjoy smoking Shisha, try Henna painting. Also do an Arab makeover in local costumes and take few snaps with one Falcon resting on your hand or shoulder. Soon you can watch the colorful performance of Tanoura dance, and have a dinner open buffet that includes Mix grilled, Salads, Desserts, and all (Veg & Non Veg Options Both Available. In addition, the Ladies Khaliji Dance (belly Dance) & Fire Show will keep you entertained. At last, you will be returned to the select location or hotel.

Be aware of who picks you up. We had a guide who picked us up in a vehicle with faulty seat belts. When the guide was told about the issue he informed us the next vehicle that would be taking us in the dunes would be ok. He proceeded to continue driving above the speed limit onto the freeway where he checked his phone constantly and we had two near missus with other vehicles. My wife and daughter felt ill with anxiety which led them to missing out on the meal when arriving at the venue due to feeling sick. The driver kept trying to get extra money out of us saying we hadn’t paid for the trip and also extra money for the quad bikes which he hiked up the price on .

Terrible.
Bad organization, worst hike ever. Considering the arrival and departure picks it lasted almost 11 hours without doing anything at all. We could not take any pictures as we arrived on the desert only when it was night by taking a 5-minute jeep ride after various insistences. Sand boarding not possible as the 3 boards available are simple pieces of wood that do not work. You ride on the camel basically you have to do so many lines x get on it and just take a picture. Indecent buffet and to eat do an hour in a row. Incompetent driver, he took the wrong road several times and we were stuck in the sand having to wait for someone to come and help us (he had a 4x4 vehicle and in the place where we were blocked there were also 50 seats buses... Absurd) Bad hike not to buy x total disorganization, and 'a waste of time

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubai.
How much does Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubai is not rushed.
Is Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubai and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Desert Safari with Dune Bashing, Camel Ride, BBQ Dinner, Sand Board & Live Shows start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubai?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5* BBQ at Al Khayma Camp, Dubai: Red Dunes Safari, Quad, Camel, Dune Bash, BBQ & Shows, Dubai Dune Buggy Safari Tour in Red Dunes Options. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
