My views
It was a fabulous experience. Everybody should do it. The only down side was the driver. He never talked or pointed out places of interest. I asked what that giant looking mound was. He just pointed to a road sign. He said nothing, did not introduce himself. At one stop we wondered what are we doing. He was always smoking and not staying with us. All members thought the same. Glad I had been to Dubai before. The smell of his cigarettes permitted.the car. He was a good driver over the dunes. I asked if all the other cars were the same company. He replied curtly , he was his own boss and worked for nobody. Completely opposite to tour day before, where driver was so helpful and full of the history and information of Abu Dhabi. There were many things I could say and if he showed any interest I would of given 5 stars. But we did not let it spoil our day, but a commentary would have been good. I always use Viator companies, but he showed no interest and did not talk at all. Thank you. I was hesitant in writing this but felt let down. We did not even get told where we were.As soon as we stopped he was off .Felt stranded. Other groups drivers stayed with their group.

Awful Tour Operator, Awful Service
I don't recommend this company at all the tour operator was very rude, and as i remember her name was Elena, and also the tour guide her name Elena, and both of them they don't know how to deal with customer, very rude, not smiling, expensive prices, there are another apps which can give you the same tours with 40% of their prices, and some of the tours you can do it for free like for example they will take 70 usd to see Burj Khalifa and the fountain and you can see them for free even :-D, who are working in this company need to learn how to smile for customer, how to offer even to customer, and not to be rude and show your bad face and ruin our mood. i really don't recommend such company, don't waste your money and time and go with another company who has professional workers who know how to deal with customers

Awesome desert safari experience!
Awesome desert safari- our guide, Akram, explained what was included and extra at each stop and made sure we had a great experience. Very nice vehicle and excellent performers at the camp/bbq!

A fun afternoon/evening
Pretty good overall. Funny how the other reviews all seem to be either 5* or 1* - people either loved it or hated it. I would say - a bit of a mix. Overall it was fun, but some parts were not as good as others. However, I would do it again - not really for myself but if there were others going. Pickup and organisation was a little hit & miss, but we got there. Quad-biking was brilliant. Only 20 minutes but that's enough really. Dune-bashing (4x4 driving like a maniac over the dunes) was brilliant. Again - only 20 minutes but that was enough. Other TA reviews complain about getting bashed about in the back of the vehicle. Well if you're a delicate little flower then steer clear of this. Yes you're going to get thrown about a lot. So what. That's what makes it fun. Camel riding was - I could pass on that really. So you sit on a camel and go up and down. It makes a good photo - that's about it. Sand boarding was - rubbish. Here's a snowboard and there's some sand - off you go! The board didn't slide on sand at that angle. Y'know - there's a reason why people do it on snow! Finally a meal and entertainments. Both of these were adequate - the meal was ok (veggie option is ok) but not exactly the best, and I'd say the same about the entertainments - fun enough and made a change. Definitely worth paying more for the sit-down waited-on service. However they were very quick to bring out the things that were charged extra (beers, shisha), and very slow to bring out the things that were included (soft drinks).. Overall - if you're in Dubai - yes do it - it's fun.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubai.
How much does Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubai is not rushed.
Is Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubai and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Desert Safari Experience - Arabian Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubai?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5* BBQ at Al Khayma Camp, Dubai: Red Dunes Safari, Quad, Camel, Dune Bash, BBQ & Shows, Dubai Dune Buggy Safari Tour in Red Dunes Options. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
