    Highly recommend

Excellent service. They answered my questions Pre-trip promptly. Friendly driver, professional, patient and punctual. Our trip was longer than expected because our guide was kind enough to wait for more clement weather. Giving us the opportunity to have the best view of the 3 lakes of Siecha. Highly recommend and will definitely be using their services again if fortune allows me to do another path of chingaza.

    My First Hike

Hello 🙋🏼‍♀️ this was my first hike and what a beautiful experience, in addition to seeing the most voluminous waterfall in Cundinamarca and getting some spectacular videos and photos, along the way we learned a lot of history about the place, I faced new challenges and met unique people, they were always looking out for all the hikers and we also helped each other.. How nice to visit beautiful places in the company of Caminatas Bogotá, always exploring with responsibility and safety. A huge hug and see you in a future experience 🏔️🙌🏻🧘🏼‍♀️

    Excellent walk.

Excellent hike Sendero Mutis. The organizer and his team very attentive to our needs. A recommended way out, by the exercise being performed, away from contamination. And, although it rained, it did not detract from the spirits of continuing. In addition, we met very nice and interesting people. It is something that does not stay in the moment, but that we wish to repeat. Very grateful. 🙏🏻

    An experience to repeat!

In April 2026 I participated with the team of Ecological Walks Bogota - Natural Connection and highly recommend it. From the beginning they give you all the necessary indications and are very clear with the information and punctual. They are always in contact before, during and after the activity. During the walk, they are very respectful, make sure that each person is well and have what it takes to provide that security. Moving to the trail, I loved it, about 5 hours of walking at a good pace, it is advisable to wear trecking shoes to have good grip in case of rain. I recommend that you give yourselves the opportunity to do walks and other events with them and have your good impression.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bogotá.

How much does Departure from Bogota Tour to Chingaza and the Lagunas de Siecha cost?

    +

Prices start at $241 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bogotá usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Departure from Bogota Tour to Chingaza and the Lagunas de Siecha take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bogotá is not rushed.

Is Departure from Bogota Tour to Chingaza and the Lagunas de Siecha worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Bogotá, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Departure from Bogota Tour to Chingaza and the Lagunas de Siecha?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Departure from Bogota Tour to Chingaza and the Lagunas de Siecha suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Departure from Bogota Tour to Chingaza and the Lagunas de Siecha?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bogotá can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bogotá and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Departure from Bogota Tour to Chingaza and the Lagunas de Siecha start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bogotá within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bogotá?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bogotá experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Free Graffiti Walking Tour Every Day in Bogota, Bogota Zipaquira Salt Cathedral Private Tour + Lunch, Private City Tour Bogota + Monserrate, Gold, Botero and Candelaria.. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bogotá?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bogotá?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
