Perfect for Teens and Parents

A fantastic experience. Our guide Katsu was extremely knowledgeable and shared both the triumphant parts of history as well as some darker aspects. Katsu was patient and kind. The electric function on the bikes worked really well and we had a great time!

Response from the operator: Dear Makalani, Thank you so much for joining the tour and for the great review! We're so happy to know you were satisfied with our tour and our guide Katsu! Hope you had a great time in Kyoto and enjoy the rest of your time in Japan. Kind regards, Kyoto ECO Trip

Enjoyable trip

We had the tour with just us as a couple so had the guide to ourselves he was very informative and even though English was a bit sketchy he got the information delivered. He traveled at a good pace and was happy to stop for photos. We enjoyed the back streets and the geisha area he took us through also the temple with the thousand Buddha, very impressive. Would recommend, the electric bikes were easy to use to ride

Response from the operator: Dear Kaylene, Thank you so much for joining the tour and for the great review! Hope you had a great time in Kyoto and enjoy the rest of your time in Japan Kind regards, Kyoto ECO Trip

Hands down, the best way to see Kyoto

My wife booked this for us as we had only one day to see Kyoto. Using the bikes, we covered 65 km of the northern part of Kyoto, seeing dozens of shrines and other attractions. The big advantage of the bikes was two-fold: 1) great for taking in the pulse of the city and people watching; and, 2) easy to quickly make decisions what to skip to be most efficient about time management. They told us we would only get about 50 km with the battery but we had 60% battery life when we finished, so the batteries were fantastic. Great company and very close to the main Kyoto train station (and Shinkansen)

Great E-bikes

We rented e-bikes from this place for the afternoon. They were fantastic and easy to use for first timers. It got us around the city with ease and we got to see more by simply being on the streets instead of underground subway. Great way to self tour Kyoto with guidance on rules and parking from the friendly and helpful staff at the depot. Would definately do this again.

How far in advance should I book Depart from Kyoto Station : Half-Day E-Bike Tour with Kyotoite?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +

On Outty we rank every Kyoto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kyoto : Chopsticks Making Workshop with Engraving Option in Gion, Ultimate Kyoto Arashiyama Tour: Bamboo, Monkeys & Hidden Gardens, Kyoto: Gion Hidden Gems & Geisha Culture Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kyoto?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kyoto?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
