    1. Bali Provincial State Museum (Negeri Propinsi Bali)

The museum was built in 1931 by architect P.J. Moojen, near the location of the former royal palace of Denpasar, which had been burnt to the ground during the Dutch intervention in Bali (1906), and used it as a model for its outside walls and courtyards. There are four main buildings inside the museum, Tabanan displaying theatrical masks and musical instruments, Karangasem sculptures and paintings, Buleleng textiles, and Timur with archeological finds. It is located on the east side of the central square of Denpasar, Taman Puputan.

    2. Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park

GWK Cultural Park Sticky Logo Retina GARUDA WISNU KENCANA, The Icon of Civilization Rising from the rugged hills of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, the magnificent Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue stands watch over the island. The towering statue is Bali’s most iconic landmark and depicts the Hindu God Wisnu, atop his mount, the mythical eagle, Garuda. The Garuda is the national emblem of Indonesia, an enduring symbol of freedom from oppression. Soaring to a height of over 120 meters, this is one of the tallest monumental statues in the world, higher than both the Statue of Liberty and Christ the Redeemer. The statue makes a stunning central feature of GWK, a fascinating 60-hectare cultural park that draws visitors from around the globe and provides a tantalizing glimpse into Bali’s fascinating heritage through intriguing cultural performances, legendary folklore tales, immense sculptures, and dramatic cinematic presentation. Enjoy panoramic island views as you explore the park on foot or by Segway. 3. Uluwatu Temple

Uluwatu Temple, or Pura Luhur Uluwatu, is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 metres above the waves. As one of the 6 key temples considered to be Bali's 'spiritual pillars', Uluwatu also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple that graces the island's western coast. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is definitely one of the top places in Bali for witnessing a delightful sunset, with direct views overlooking the beautiful waves of the Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances held at an amphitheatre nearby. Balinese architecture, traditionally-designed gateways, and ancient sculptures all add to Uluwatu Temple's appeal.

    Take the optional buggy ride.

We highly recommend the optional buggy ride at the Garuda Wishnu Park. You'll see why it is worth the extra few $. It must be bought on site. After the shuttle drops you at the entrance, proceed to the ticketing booth to get it.
