Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto)
The existence of the cave was unknown until 1932, when a fisherman accidentally discovered its existence. The life of the fisherman, called Luigi Buonocore, changed completely, to the point that from the moment of discovery until his death the man was labeled as the "discoverer of the cave" (legend has it that Mr. Luigi was recognized on the street, to the point of taking on the connotations of “living myth”). The merit of this fisherman is truly enormous, since he brought to everyone's attention a wonderful space for tourist but also scientific purposes. In fact, the cave is a magical kingdom, in which light takes on wonderful and fairy-tale connotations. When the sea is calm and the sun is high, the cave appears truly magical thanks to the reflections that the light is capable of generating.

Fiordo Di Furore
A crack in the rock, immersed in wild nature that frames a small beach of just 25 meters: this is how the Furore Fjord appears, a small natural jewel in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. The geological conformation of the Furore Fjord has made it a safe place from enemy attacks over the centuries. These deep inlets and overhanging rocks are typical of northern European landscapes and Furore also takes on the physical connotations typical of those fairy-tale landscapes, however blending them with Mediterranean smells and atmospheres; as in every enchanting place, here too there is no shortage of legends, as we will see later. Since 1997 it has been included by UNESCO, together with other places on the Amalfi Coast, among the world heritage sites. Furthermore, with its 800-odd inhabitants, Furore has become part of the club of the "Most beautiful villages in Italy".

Our Amalfi Coast tour was excellent!
Ciro was a great driver and guide. He spoke English very well and was able to answer our questions and share many interesting facts about the area. I think is a great value for the price and would certainly do it again.

Our family of five took a deluxe private tour of the Amalfi Coast today with Ciao Naples. Our tour guide, Ciro, was excellent, and he took us to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.
