What you'll see and do
Journey in comfort on-board a covered, heated boat through the Salish Sea to Orford Bay. Along the way your skipper and First Nation guide will share their knowledge of the human history and legends of this spectacular area while on the lookout for marine wildlife.

A great day with Homalco
My wife and I had an awesome day with Homalco. The guides were knowledgeable and fun all day long (a ten hour day!). The boat they use is just perfect. You have both an inside seat (where it's warm) and an outdoor seat (TBD on weather). On our trip, we saw a group of five orcas and we saw six grizzly bears and one black bear. Fantastic! Besides the major wildlife, we were driven over 50 miles looking for whales and to the grizzly area. It was just a beautiful area! Granted, we had a beautiful day, but I think it would have been great on a bad weather day. The grizzly area is where two streams join, and one of the streams was teaming with salmon (which of course attracts the bears). I felt we both learned a lot about this groups culture and experience in a very positive way. Thank you Janet and Kelsey for the great day!

Grizzly Bear Hunt —- Great tour
We took the Delux Grizzly and Culture Tour which I booked direct with the operator. Tour was approximately 10 and it did not feel too long. I was concerned it might. Started at their office and we boarded the boat with Ron as our skipper and Cassie our guide. Both were excellent. Was smooth travelling on the sea and they were constantly on the lookout for wildlife. We spotted sea lions, humpback whales, and two black bears on the way to our destination. They supply sandwiches and snacks along with tea and coffee. Boat is comfortable and has onboard toilet. You can move from inside the cabin to outside if you wish. The land section lasts about 3hours and we were able to see grizzly bears and even triplet cubs. You are driven around to different locations in search of the bears. The guides on the land section were Wilson and Cheyenne who too were both fantastic. Overall tour was very informative and highlight was of course seeing the bears. On return trip home we also spotted Orca. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

A surreal experience
An amazing tour. Although early season we saw several grizzlies looking for food in the amazing rivers thanks to our guide Dude and driver Tod. Bonus we also spotted a black bear when we got off at Church House. Lots of other wildlife also spotted. Seals, bald eagles and a couple of humpbacks. And the scenery is another level! Thanks to Cassie our guide for the day especially for all the stories and to our skipper Ron. A highlight to our trip to the beautiful Vancouver Island

Amazing!
We did the Deluxe Grizzlies and Culture tour and spent an absolute perfect day out. We’ve seen humpbacks, dolphins, orcas, black bear, salmon, bald eagles and grizzlies: mama and two cups walking right past our bus. The organisation was great, food was good (smoked salmon soo good) and learned a lot about the Homalco culture, very interesting. Both Elliott and Cassie were excellent hosts. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend!!
Recently did a tour with them and it was an amazing experience. All the guides were very friendly, knowledgable, very patient and we spotted 6 bears including mama bear with cubs. It was an amazing experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in a tour. We also saw whales on the way back making the tour extra special!
