Amazing Well-Planned Trip
This is a long review, but when you are planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Egypt, every detail matters so I hope you find this helpful. We just returned from a 10-day private tour of Egypt, expertly planned by Imperial Egypt and Mido Mosa, and we had an absolutely outstanding experience. The level of customer service was exceptional from start to finish. Thanks to Imperial Egypt, we were able to see so much of the country, and every part of the trip was seamless and impeccably organized. We began our journey in Cairo, then flew to Luxor to board a 4-night Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Our boat, El Nabilatan, is listed as a 5-star cruiser. While we had a spacious suite at the front of the ship with a wonderful balcony, the ship itself could use some TLC. If you’re a true 5-star traveler, you may want to request a newer vessel. Each day was filled with incredible sights. The weather was absolutely perfect, and one of the highlights in Luxor was an unforgettable sunrise hot air balloon ride over the ancient sites, including the Valley of the Kings. After the cruise, we traveled to Abu Simbel in southern Egypt, which was truly breathtaking and well worth the journey. We then flew back to Cairo for three additional days of exploration. With our private guide and driver, we visited all the major sights around Cairo. One day, we also took a trip to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Sea to see Pompey’s Column and the Citadel. We bookended our trip with stays at the Steigenberger Hotel in Cairo, which offered spectacular rooms and incredible views. Its location - right across from the Pyramids and the new Grand Egyptian Museum - was unbeatable. The museum itself was amazing! Do not miss it! I would also like to recognize the incredible team who made this trip so special. All of our guides were professional Egyptologists who taught us so much about Egypt’s rich history. Our private drivers were equally important: always safe, reliable, and essential for navigating the country comfortably. I would especially like to highlight our outstanding guides at each location: Cairo and Alexandria: Hend (she/her) at the beginning of our trip and Rawan (she/her) at the end were both fantastic. They were knowledgeable, engaging, and knew all the best photo spots capturing countless amazing pictures that we will treasure for a lifetime. Our Cairo driver, Mohamed, was excellent -- very safe and dependable. Highly recommend asking for him! Luxor (Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon): Hossam (he/him) guided us for two days and was absolutely amazing. His depth of knowledge and storytelling made the history come alive for all of us, including our kids. Edfu Temple: Asma (she/her) made our visit truly enjoyable with her engaging and informative storytelling. Kom Ombo (Aswan): Esam (he/him) was outstanding! We could have spent hours listening to him explain the temple’s history and carvings. He’s also a fantastic photographer - we came away with beautiful photos. Abu Simbel: Saleh (he/him) guided us through this breathtaking site and did a wonderful job explaining its significance. Philae Temple and The High Dam: Emad Aiad (he/him) was a spectacular guide with deep expertise. He made the experience fascinating for both adults and kids - truly exceptional. The lunch spot he chose for us was truly amazing and the boat ride around the Philae Temple was unforgettable. Do not hesitate to plan your trip with Imperial Egypt and Mido Mosa. They are outstanding, and I will recommend them to all of our friends and family without hesitation!

Excellent Tour Guise
Navigating Egypt when you aren’t sure of the local customs or language can be daunting, but not with Hady as your tour guide. Hady facilitied the gauntlet of all the attractions and arranging transportation. It was so well arranged it was seamless for the traveler. Traveling with Hady, it was obvious he was known by the locals and they enjoyed working with him because of his integrity which made our experience more than we ever could have expected. In addition, Hady’s knowledge of history was thorough and easy to follow. There wasn’t a question he wasn’t able to answer. Hady was accessible for questions and logistics beyond working hours. He went above and beyond, not because it’s his job, but because he loves what he is doing!

Excellent service, amazing excursions, and perfect guides.
Where do I start? Ok, from the beginning. Started communicating with Mido back in June 2024 as the trip to Egypt was in the planning stages. Mido seamlessly coordinated a ten day for our group of six from San Diego. Upon our arrival in Cairo, we were met at the airport and shuttled to our hotel, which, btw, was stunning (The Grand Nile). The next morning we were met by one of Mido's Egyptologists, with whom we'd spend the next two days exploring Cairo. Our guide was Mustafa. He was excellent, and made our trip better because of him. Thank you Mustafa! We then headed to ASWAN for our 3 night River Nile cruise. Again, we were met at the airport by one of Mido's drivers, as well as our guide for the next few days. I can't say enough about our Egyptologist guide Hady. Not only was he a fantastic guide, but being a professional archeologist brought so much more perspective to the sites, temples, and customs that we were able to experience on this part of our trip. Hady quickly became our friend, and blended exceptionally well with our diverse group. All in all, I'd highly recommend Imperial Egypt tours. Mido's attention to detail left nothing to chance, and every step of this once in a lifetime journey was perfect. I'd like to shout out to our drivers, as well as our guides Mustafa and Hady, both deserve high marks. If I could give 10 stars, I'd give more. Thank you Mido!

Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile cost?
+
Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 192-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Deluxe 8 days 7 nights on the Nile start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
