What you'll see and do

  1. Agrasen Ki Baoli - Leamigo

At 9 AM or your given time, We will start the tour with the visit to Agrasen ki baoli - One of the medieval era architectural structures of Delhi. Also referred to as Agar Sain Ki Baoli or Ugrasen ki Baoli, this stepwell is an ancient water reservoir which rises from the depths of the earth to stand atop 103 stone steps. Hidden amidst the business towers and residential apartments of central Delhi, this place is a quiet and serene experience perfect for photography lovers. The old brick walls of the structure take you back in history, and as you go down the steps, a drop in temperature can be experienced. The structure occupies a width of 15 metres and is 60 metres long which is quite impressive considering the fact that it is believed to have been built somewhere around the time of Mahabharata. The reservoir still serves its ancient purpose as the lower parts of the baoli can be seen submerged in water on some occasions.

  3. Lodhi Garden

Lodhi Garden - Spread over 90 acres, Delhi's loveliest escape was originally named after the wife of the British Resident, thus once known as 'Lady Willingdon Park', who had two villages cleared in 1936 in order to landscape a park containing the Lodi-era tombs but was renamed after India gained independence from the British. The contrast of sombre mausoleums against the lush greenery of the gardens makes it a favourite among tourists and locals alike. This garden helps in protecting more than 100 species of trees and 50 species of birds and butterflies. The construction of this great work of architecture took place under the Lodhi reign sometime in the 15th century. The architecture here shows the epitome of magnificent engineering that echoes of Delhi's illustrious history. How many days do you need in New Delhi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
