The wonderful Taj Mahal experience
This was a fantastic day trip , the guide Mr Himanshu Gupta and driver in Agra made the trip exceptionally good. They spoke perfect English, were helpful and really made this special. The Taj Mahal was more majestic in person than we imagined, the fast train was also a highlight , super efficient and convenient. The Holiday tours and travel company kept us always updated with details, tickets and were always quick to respond to our questions.

A day out from Delhi
When in Delhi, this is something you have to do a trip on the Belinger Express to Agra to see the Tajj Mahal, the train is clean and fast, food served on trip there and on trip back all included in the price of your ticket. 1 hour 50 min non stop

The tour guide was fantastic and the Taj Mahal was breathtaking! The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun and made me laugh a lot. We went to an okay place for lunch- that's the one thing I would change and then a couple of shops that felt like tourist traps. I recommend this trip.

This was an amazing trip, the Train ride was very pleasant and was so fast, I was greeted at the train by my guide who if there are Hindu Saints he is one of them. The Tour of Taj Majal and Agra Fort was informative and very enjoyable. Can't say enough about this trip, just terrific.

I believe this tour could be very good. You get picked up early, dropped in the station with pre-booked tickets, you get professional guide in Agra Hemanshu was excelent, very professional drivers, and the booked trains and taxi are quite comfortable. Especially if you like having a personal guide only for you, this might be great. I didn't exactly enjoy the fact of being treated like a rich guy, but well...

The reason I give 3 only is mostly due to three reasons:
Even when you pay such a high price relative the local reality, they still make you visit shops/factories where you are welcomed to buy their stuff. If you are interested in buying marbles that might be fine, but honestly, I was told we would visit a school where descendants of those who built the Taj learn the marble art. All I saw was three guys working marble in a corner of a shop, and after two minutes you are invited to come in, have a tea and see the collection...that you can buy. Since I was not even prepared to spend money, it seems that our tour suddenly got shortened.
The only two things I was deliberately taken to visit was the Taj Mahal and the Agra fort! At 2PM we were done and, after much asking, I was taken to a really small temple in the outskirts of Agra.
Tour finished after that and I was taken to the station where I had to wait 2h for the train. So you wake up at 5AM and come back at 8PM, but spent 3h waiting for trains.
Even though they say all fees/taxes are included, that means the personal guide and transports. When I said I really didn't being much money for this day trip, and the tour could be at risk, they arranged a free lunch. That's worth a start to this review.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide take?
+
Plan for about 16 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 16-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 16-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Delhi to Agra Day Trip by Vande Bharat Train with Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
