What you'll see and do

  1. Red Fort

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and given access to a GPS enabled audio-visual digital guide that can be downloaded on your smartphone. The guide helps you to navigate from the entrance of the monuments to various points of interest inside. Please note that the guide can be used only at the Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Humayun’s tomb. Visit the Red Fort, the main residence of the Mughal Emperors for nearly 200 years up to 1856. The fort was built by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. More destruction followed at the hands of the British during the revolt of 1857 after which the fort was used as a garrison. The British put the last Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar on trial in this fort before exiling him to Rangoon in 1857. The historical significance of the Red Fort is underscored by the fact that to date it is used for hoisting the national flag on 15th August every year. That day marks the Indian Independence day.

  2. Qutub Minar

Also visit Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Mehrauli region of Delhi. It is a 240 feet high minaret with five storeys. It was built as a victory tower in 1193 by Qutub-ud-din-Aibak after he defeated the last Hindu king of Delhi. At the foot of the tower is the first mosque built in India, the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque. Housed within the same complex is the Iron Pillar that has stood the test of time without any visible evidence of rusting. It is said that if you can encircle the pillar with your hands while standing with your back to it, your wish will be granted!

  3. Humayun's Tomb

Humayun’s tomb, another UNESCO World Heritage site, houses the tomb of Humayun commissioned by his first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum. The site was chosen due to its proximity to the Nizamuddin Dargah, the mausoleum of the celebrated Sufi saint of Delhi, Nizamuddin Auliya, who was revered by the rulers of Delhi.  Besides the mortal remains of Humayun and Empress Bega Begum, the tomb complex also contains the last remains of several later Mughals. Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch cost?

+

Prices start at $154 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (0/5 across 0 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch?

+

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Delhi Self-Guided Tour with a GPS enabled audio & video Guide with Lunch start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

+

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
