About this experience
This is an interesting and off-beat tour of New Delhi and Old Delhi by students from Manzil, a non-profit that works in youth empowerment and learning. The tour uses the Delhi Metro, as well as two additional forms of 'green' transport that are popular with the common man in Delhi - the compressed natural gas (CNG) powered green auto-rickshaw, and the cycle-rickshaw. The tour provides income for the student-guides, and also helps to finance some programmes at Manzil. The tour allows you to see many of the highlights of the city, have a bazaar walk through Old Delhi, experience rickshaw rides, check out the street food, get an introduction to various religions and cultures in India, and more importantly, it provides an opportunity to see Delhi through the eyes of young people who are full of optimism for the future. The students who do this tour love their city and it comes through during the tour. They are well-trained and knowledgeable about the places you visit on the tour.

Delhi Magic exceeded our high expectations by providing a fascinating & well organized adventure through North India!
Delhi Magic (Ranjeet) provided a fantastic level of planning, coordination and support for our recent 16-day trip through Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab! The itinerary was full of interesting, educational and fascinating activities each day, from breakfast through dinner - just as we had requested. Our vivid memories will last forever - from the unique and eye-opening tour of chaotic Old Delhi and the unparalleled beauty of the Taj Mahal; to the adventurous and exciting safaris at Ranthambore (where we spotted five tigers) and the calming Ganges in mystical Varanasi; to the royal palaces and forts of Jaipur and lakeside serenity of Udaipur; to the peaceful tranquility of the Golden Temple and the intense and boisterous energy of the Wagah-Attari border ceremony in Punjab. The transition from guide-to-guide and driver-to-driver and the care they provided throughout our journey was provided with near-perfection, putting us at ease even amongst the extremely bustling and crowded streets and monuments. And, the thoughtfulness of having a representative assist us with a short transfer between terminals at Indira Gandhi International Airport and to meet us immediately as we disembarked from our train at the Old Delhi Railway Station were so very welcomed and appreciated. Every hotel/guesthouse was clean and comfortable, and provided excellent food and service. The Tigress Resort in Ranthambore was exceptional - and on a level of its own. We also wish to highlight Dera Rawatsar Hotel in Varanasi for providing an extraordinary degree of comfort, style and personal service. All drivers were professional, helpful and most importantly, drove carefully and safely at all times. Our first driver, Ramesh, in Delhi, went above and beyond and provided an exceptional level of service. Each guide provided a wealth of information and spoke English well. Our favorite guide was Mr. Ashlesh Sharma - he was extremely passionate and friendly, and devised specific, well-planned agendas for each of our safaris. Working with our drivers, Ashlesh was able to provide us numerous close-viewing opportunities for tigers, as well as a sloth bear. Mr. Karni Singh in Udaipur was also especially helpful as he took us deep into the local alleys to see a part of the city most foreigners are not fortunate to witness, allowing for many unique sights and photographs. And we greatly enjoyed our time with Ms. Annpurna in Jaipur - she was very personable and we spoke about so many different topics with her, learning much about Indian traditions and culture. We appreciate the amount of time and energy she invested taking us to the Monkey Temple, unexpectedly during a festival - which made the experience challenging due to the excessive amount of attendees, but also provided us with unique and memorable insights to Hinduism. We can not thank Ranjeet of Delhi Magic Tours enough for upgrading several of our experiences along the way. He sure knows how to enhance an already well designed travel plan to make it truly special and exceptional!

Amazing experience, incredible value for money, couldn’t fault it, would recommend without reservation.
Amazing trip. Could not fault this organisation. So efficient, communicative, helpful, attention to detail, informative all the way through, incredible value for money. The itinerary was flexible and adaptable, and ensured we saw everything on our wishlist. The accommodation choices were perfect and exactly what we were expecting. The guides were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The drivers were punctual, professional and safe and the cars were comfortable and of high quality. Ranjeet, our main contact, responded quickly and helpfully to every query. We felt in very good hands throughout and would recommend them without reservation.

Loved this tour! A fun, interesting way to experience Delhi like a local!
We loved our tour with Abhishek! He gave us a great intro to both Old and New Delhi in this excellent tour that included interesting history about Delhi's development and a chance to experience Delhi like locals do. It was also a fun introduction to all the transit options the city offers, from the fantastic, easy-to-use Delhi metro to bicycle rickshaws at Chandni Chowk and, of course, tuk-tuks. Tour highlights included a bird's-eye view of the spice market, a walk through hidden passages in Old Delhi, a stop at "paratha alley" for the best paratha I've ever had, and -- best of all -- Abhishek's terrific narrative about everything we were seeing and his warm, friendly company. 100% recommend this tour! If you can request to book with Abhishek specifically, he's a fantastic guide.
Response from the operator: Yes, it's a great introduction to Delhi's transport options, isn't it? Plus it's got history, bazaars, colours, food, all rolled into one tour! Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the review.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Delhi Magic Best Seller - Delhi by Metro with College Student Guides start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
