Bazardüzü Gabala
This summer, the two of us wanted to go to Azerbaijan, but the daily hustle and bustle of life meant we couldn’t plan the trip in advance. It was a short trip, barely a week and a bit, and the main attraction was climbing the highest peak in this beautiful country – Bazardüzü (4,466 m above sea level). After a bit of research, it turned out that we needed numerous official permits due to the nearby border with Russia and entry into the national park. Fortunately, we managed to find people who helped us make our dream a reality – Kai and Mehman. Kai helped us secure the permits quickly and guided us through the administrative complexities of staying in Baku – a SIM card at a standard price and an Azerbaijani phone number (if you’re a foreigner, this is difficult to obtain, and there are many mobile apps that don’t work without a local number – e.g. m10 for parking in Baku). The public transport card was easier to get hold of, but the machines for issuing them only operate in Azerbaijani, which doesn’t make life any easier. It was also thanks to Kai that we met our guide, Mehman – climbing Bazardüzü without a guide is technically impossible. Both gentlemen turned out to be absolutely lovely fellows. Thanks to Mehman, we achieved our main goal and had a wonderful time in a friendly, family-like atmosphere, whilst also exploring the Gabala district (we got a taste of the history of Caucasian Albania and visited a ski resort) and drinking countless cups of tea. We also formed a closer bond, which may well lead to a return visit to Poland. Gentlemen, thank you very much for a wonderful and active time together; see you next time. Joanna and Bodek

An amazing tour and a great guide! Shemakha and Gabala are beautiful
Went on a one-day excursion to Shemakhy and Gabala with Tourister Azerbaijan, and it was unforgettable! Locations are just incredible beauty: mountains, nature, pure air - breathtaking. Special and huge thanks to our guide. A true professional at his job! The tour was very lively, interesting, with a deep immersion in history and culture, but without too much monotony. The organization is on top of it, too. The only nuance is that the cost seemed a little inflated, but the overall impression of the trip and the amazing work of the guide fully compensate for it. Definitely recommend this tour!

Beautiful tour of Shamakhy-Gabal, were very pleased! The day flew by in one breath, the organization is excellent, without haste or overlap. We had time to see the Juma Mosque, tickle our nerves on the Zarnava Suspension Bridge, admire the forests of Ismaila and the Seven Beauties Falls. Lunch was in a restaurant with national cuisine with stunning mountain views (food fresh, brought quickly). At the end of the tour climbed the rope in Tufandaga - the views are super! A great way to safely see key locations in one day. I recommend it!

Discovering Azerbaijani Switzerland
The trip went very well. I liked the historical sites and beautiful views in Shamakhi. I was impressed by the nature in Gabala, especially the mountains and Lake Nohur. Tufandag was a special treat: the cable car offers a stunning view of the mountains and the entire valley. The tour was comfortable, and the guide explained everything clearly. The route was well planned, with enough time for rest and photos. The tour left a very pleasant impression — I recommend it.
