    Quick trip to Mykonos.

We got to see Mykonos this trip . Only for 5 hours. But it was fun to go. The Ferry goes very fast and is comfortable.had time for meal and sight seeing. A beautiful sunny and warm day. And not crowded compared to summer.

    Glad we got to visit!

Enjoyed visiting the island. Guide was very friendly and did a good job of making sure we all made the right connections. Visit included lots of free time. Hotel pick up and drop off was a pleasant experience. Very punctual . Ferry ride was three hours long but atmosphere was nice except very cold. Bring a jacket! Only negative was the ferry ride was completely inside and windows did not allow for view.

Crowded with nothing to do but shop or swim

Could have skipped this island. Your guide dropped us off and nothing was open except for shops or you could go swimming. The second part of the tour we were dropped off at a private beach. The area looked condemned. We were bored

Response from the operator: Dear Terry, We are sorry to hear that and we'd like to take this opportunity to clarify some points. I personally would like to reiterate that the information you mentioned in your review was clearly stated on our booking page to avoid any misunderstandings. On our booking page, we explicitly mention that this is an independent tour with no guide. The tour includes ferry tickets and transportation by a comfortable mini-van with a private chauffeur, ensuring a hassle-free journey to and from Mykonos. We pride ourselves on giving our guests the freedom to explore the island at their own pace. Regarding the town and beach experiences, it is mentioned on the website that during these parts of the tour, guests enjoy free time to spend as they wish. Mykonos is known for its vibrant streets, shops, and beautiful beaches, allowing visitors to indulge in various activities of their choice. We apologize if these details were not clear enough during the booking process. We appreciate your input. Best regards, Mania

    Expensive tour

Mykonos island is an amazing and enjoyable place to visit. We booked a private tour but there was nothing private about it. We took a public fast boat with many other travelers to Mykonos and other cities. When arriving to the island a driver took us to the city entrance and left us with a meeting time and was it. We walked by our selves throughout the island trying to figure where are the important places to go to. It would have been much cheaper if we booked the fast boat tickets ourselves and visited the island.

Response from the operator: Dear Hanan_H, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your perspective, and we would like to address some important points you raised. Our private tour itinerary is specifically designed to be customized according to your preferences. As mentioned on our page, the ferry to Mykonos is a high-speed ferry of a big shipping company, and it is not feasible to book a ferry with a capacity of 1500 passengers for a private tour. Private tours typically include a personal guide or host, a choice of a private vehicle, and a chauffeur driver. On the day of your tour, I personally met each of you at the port to provide information as a host, your driver was waiting for you in Mykonos upon your arrival. Additionally, we arranged a private taxi for you in Athens, ensuring seamless transportation throughout your trip. We would like to clarify that we never stated that the tour includes a walking tour. This is an optional activity available for booking on Viator, as we offer it to individuals who prefer guided walking tours. We strive to provide clear and accurate information regarding our services. While it is true that you could have booked everything independently, it's important to consider that our package offers convenience and eliminates the need for you to search for drivers in Athens or navigate the expensive transfer options in Mykonos. In the best-case scenario, you might have saved around 10 euros, but the added effort and potential challenges in coordinating transportation would have been on your shoulders. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and will take your comments into account to further improve our services. If you have any further concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Best regards, Mania

    Glad we went

Seeing the Island itself Windmills and oldest church. Too cold for the beach. Ferry was nice but took 6 hrs RT and that was supposed to be high speed.

Response from the operator: Dear Madelyn_T, Thank you for your review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the island's landmarks, and we apologize for the cold weather, which unfortunately is beyond our control. The ferry we provide is indeed high-speed, with an advertised travel time of 2-3 hours one way. Normally, the slower ferry takes around 5-6 hours to reach Mykonos, resulting in a round trip of 10-12 hours. Rest assured, the vessel we use is the fastest on this route! We appreciate your feedback, and we will review the information to ensure accurate travel time representation. Thank you once again for using our services! Best Regards, Mania

Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens cost?

    +

Prices start at $330 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens take?

    +

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Day Trip to Mykonos Island from Athens start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
