The Karnak Temple
When visiting Karnak, you are paying a visit to the heart of Egypt during the New Kingdom. This huge temple complex was the center of the ancient faith while power was concentrated at Thebes (modern day Luxor) and its significance is reflected in its enormous size. This temple might be the greatest testament to why Luxor has earned its nickname, “The World’s Largest Outdoor Museum”. Luxor Temple is located in the modern city of Luxor, which is built on the site of the ancient Egyptian capital of Thebes. The temple is one of the best-preserved of all of the ancient monuments with large amounts of structure, statuary and relief carvings still intact, making it one of the most impressive visits in the Luxor area and all of Egypt, adding significantly to its allure is the juxtaposition that its setting provides. At first glance, the Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, seems like no more than a sun-blasted gorge of generic red rock, but underneath all of its dust lay the tombs of 63 of the most important pharaohs in the history of Ancient Egypt. Used as a burial chamber for nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, Discovered by Howards Carter in an excavation expedition in 1922, one of the most important tombs found in the Valley of the Kings is the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun and all of his treasures.The Valley of the Kings is located on the west bank of the Nile River near Luxor. It is the most famous site for having unique collections of tombs and breathtaking ancient ruins.

Temple of Hatshepsut
In terms of visual impact from afar, there is no rival to Hatshepsut’s Temples. The unique multi-tiered structure nestled up against the limestone cliffs at the shoulder of the river valley is a truly stunning sight. The uniqueness of its layout mirrors that of the pharaoh responsible for building it. Hatshepsut was the only female pharaoh in the history of Ancient Egypt. She came to power during the New Kingdom after the death of her father, Tuthmose I, and her half-brother and husband, Tuthmose II, who succeeded her father on the throne.

Excellent organization and an outstanding guide in Luxor
We had a very good experience with this tour operator, which proved to be reliable, well-organized, and punctual throughout the trip. A key added value was our guide in Luxor, Sayed Selim, who was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Sayed has a deep understanding of ancient Egyptian history and is able to explain complex topics in a clear and engaging way, without ever being overwhelming. During the visits to the temples and the Valley of the Kings, he provided historical, religious, and political context that truly helped us understand what we were seeing, not just observe it. We also appreciated his availability to answer questions and his flexibility in adapting the pace of the visits to the group’s needs. His experience, passion, and respect for Egypt’s heritage were evident throughout. I highly recommend this tour operator and strongly suggest requesting Sayed Selim as a guide in Luxor — he genuinely makes a difference.

Definitely take Mohammed as a tour guide do not do it solo cause you will have no idea what you’re looking at. Great exp
Let me just start off by saying that Mohamed Maher is easily one of the best tour guides I’ve had so far I’ve done a lot of travelling the energy he brings his characteristics and the knowledge he brings to the table is unbelievable. We did a fortnight Nile cruise which was perfect from start to finish. The tombs and temples we visited was breathtaking. Every brick has a story to tell and Mohamed knowledge is unbelievable he knows the history like the back of his hand from the street vendors harassing us and trying to rip us off. He stepped in and saved us from getting ripped off and told them to stop harassing us as they are very pushy at times ,My mother was feeling quite ill at night around 9pm . He went over and above to take her to the pharmacy to help her even when I got stuck at Cairo Airport I messaged him even though the tour was over but he still was kind enough to help me get through and told me what terminal I had to go to if I could give it a 11 out of 10 I would he’s a bloody legend! Love from Australia.

It is a trip of a lifetime and we learned so many things
We had a great time with Ahmad. He was a great tour leader. He showed us the ins and outs of so many things in Luxor. He also took us to several shops that we totally loved. His knowledge of the spots that we visited in the history was fabulous. But the most important thing was his enthusiasm for the subject, which got us excited as well. Highly recommend him.
