Wonderful Trip
Thank you for this wonderful trip. Our guide Mr. Ahmet is a great person, we recommend you to thank him as well. Since the plane was a little late and we were very tired, we are spending today resting. It was a nice experience for us. The museum was very nice. The pyramids are a wonder of the world. Thanks again for everything.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Horrible experience. Instead of 4/5 hours, it took us 7 and a half hours to get to Luxor! Journey of hope, never seemed to arrive. We paid an extra €25 to return to our hotel at a decent time after leaving at 3:30 in the morning and still returned at 10.00 in the evening. Never again.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
We arrived in our hotel at 10.00PM. Today was not a funny day, just because it was so much chaotic and unorganized. They told me it was a 4/5 hour drive to go in Luxor but it took us 7 and half hours (3.30 AM - 10.00 AM). We need for the return an another car, and pay extra (25€). Otherwise now, we will still be in the car for return to hotel. It wasn’t even close to what we expected. We did not have the time and strength after such a long trip (as we did not expect) to admire the beauties of the place. In fact, we were looking forward to coming back, knowing what was waiting for us going away.. 7 hours and a half by car, not 4 hours. Thank you. Ps. The driver, drove all the time on phone. Unprofessional for the safety of customers.

This is what you must have done
Our guide Laila knew a lot about all the parts and at the same time kept a close eye on the itinerary. It was also nice that we also had time to get impressions for ourselves with each part. Overall very nice and a very nice guide! It was a long day from El Gouna. 3.30 away -22.00 back by the other hotels that were still visited, but all in all definitely worth it.

The effort to do this day trip
A full day on the road to Luxor from El Gouna: a long adventure because it takes a while. But we thought it was absolutely worth picking up. The driver was good and safe. The Guide guided us in a smooth way through the Things to do, which demonstrate the enormous culture of Egypt. Highly recommended.

Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna cost?
+
Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna take?
+
Plan for about 16 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 16-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 16-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day trip to Luxor by bus from El Gouna start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings & Tutankhamun Tomb Trip, Orange Bay Island, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
