Guide showed us the museum highlights

Our guide Adel showed us the highlights of the museum including the Tutankhamun treasures and the mummies. He made sure we saw the most important pieces. We then visited the Hanging Church and the Holy Cave. The bazaar was last and we bought some spices. The guide was efficient and knowledgeable. The van was comfortable and had water. The whole day was full of highlights. Admission fee was 50 usd for the full day. Length of visit was about 7 hours. Atmosphere was highlight filled and educational. Crowd size was about 8 people in our group. Staff were experts on the museum's highlights. Best for solo travelers who want to see the best. Yasser had given us a highlight list

Friend argued about the museum age

My friend argued with our guide about the age of the museum. He thought it was older. Our guide Yasser showed him the date and he agreed. We then visited the Hanging Church and the Holy Cave. The bazaar was last and we bought some perfumes. The guide was patient and educational. The van was comfortable and cool. We had a good day despite the argument. Admission fee was 48 usd each. Length of visit was about 7 hours. Atmosphere was argumentative then educational. Crowd size was about 10 people in our group. Staff were patient with differing opinions. Best for friends who love to debate. Yasser had given us a timeline of the museum.

After that, exploring Old Cairo’s historic churches and mosques was a real treat.

"I booked the day trip to the Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo, and it was absolutely amazing! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating stories about ancient Egypt that brought the exhibits to life. The museum itself is incredible – so much to see, from pharaohs’ treasures to everyday artifacts. After that, exploring Old Cairo’s historic churches and mosques was a real treat. I especially loved the narrow streets and the authentic vibe. Ending the day at the bustling bazaar was perfect so many colors, spices, and souvenirs! The transport was comfortable, and the timing was perfect, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Cairo!"

How far in advance should I book Day Trip To Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo & Bazaar?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
