    What you'll see and do

    1. The Pyramids Of Giza

The pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx are among the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and indeed already were even in Roman times. Each of these spectacular structures served as the final resting place of a king of the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC). The Great Pyramid of Giza was built for king Khufu (c.2589–2566 BC), and the other two for Khafre and Menkaure, his son and grandson. Khufu’s pyramid is both the oldest and largest of the three, and the first building to exceed it in height would not be built for another 3,800 years!

    2. Gran Museu Egipci

Located in the heart of Cairo, the Egyptian Museum is the Middle East’s oldest archaeological museum and one of Egypt’s most popular touristic destinations. The museum houses a vast collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in its unique neo-classical building, spanning from the Predynastic period to the Greco-Roman period.

    3. Colossal statues are one of the hallmarks of ancient Egyptian civilization, and the Great Sphinx of Giza is the most famous. It was carved directly out of the bedrock during the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC), which also makes it the oldest. Ancient Egyptian sphinxes represented the king with the body of a lion, in a clear demonstration of his power.

Trip to Cairo, pyramids, Grand Museum by plane fro Hurghada !

Despite the tour was organised very well, it seems like we were on a hurry all the time, instead of spending time in the pyramids or museum we had to visit this scamming shops, and I mean total scam which the tour agent played a big role, so we had only 2 hours in pyramids because we had to go to the King Ali’s palace where they invented a beautiful story about the only family remaining in the Egypt who is holding a secret of how the ancient Egyptians made them, they mummified theirs dead and 4000 year later mummies still have an aroma , the family has some farm where they grow and harvest flowers by hand and then making an organic with no chemicals oils which should smell for weeks..Well they just cheap scammers , easily can scam you £300-500 , they just wouldn’t give you a second to think to be alone, they will board you with their hospitality and oils non stop, until you pay ! The tour agent, knows what is happening and probably has some percentage from the deal, so he scamming you to begin with, it’s a shame, because we had a guy Kongo for our tour and apart from this he was great ! Yes, they oils will smell the same with no different aroma, they are very good scammers! Then , instead of spend more time in a museum we had to visit another shop they sell papyrus , small £10 in Cairo, we went to Luxor the other day and they sell them for $1 !Well, there you go, probably I would not go to Egypt any more it’s a shame but that’s what they do, they make tourists not to comeback, so how would they build another Abu Dhabi I have no idea!

Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Safaga.

How much does Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem cost?

    +

Prices start at $379 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Safaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Safaga is not rushed.

Is Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Safaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem?

    +

Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Safaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Safaga and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Day Trip to Cairo By Flight From Hurghada&GEM Grand Musuem start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Safaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Safaga?

    +

On Outty we rank every Safaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Horse Riding & Camel Beach,Desert, Swim,Sunrise & Sunset-Hurghada, Dolphin House Full Day Snorkeling Cruise With Lunch – Hurghada, Orange Bay Giftun Island Snorkeling Cruise With Lunch – Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Safaga?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Safaga?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
