Great tour and guide! Highly recommend

Highly recommend this tour and recommend Mimmo as your tour guide. He made the trip so easy and fun, with great insight into Egyptian history and Egypt’s culture. It was organised well, good food and flexible with what we wanted to do. 10/10!!

Amazing day exploring Egypt with Mimmo

We had an amazing day with Mimmo. He took us around the Giza area to see the three pyramids and the Sphinx, then to the Dahshur area to explore the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, followed by Memphis and Sakkara with the Step Pyramid and more. He even treated us to delicious falafel and shawarma along the way. Mimmo was so kind, bubbly, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed learning about ancient Egypt with him and getting insight into both the ancient and modern culture. He is very funny, always smiling, and you can tell he is passionate and truly loves his job. He was also very open and honest with us, letting us make our own decisions and never pushing us into anything. The sites are absolutely amazing, and everyone should experience these ancient wonders with someone as genuine and enthusiastic as Mimmo.

You get what you pay after insisting????

We have done 5 private tours in Egypt in this trip with different tour operators. All of them had contact with me from the evening before. In 2 cases they informed me for delay because of serious reasons. At this tour noone contacted and after half an hour waiting on the road outside of our hotel I sent them message. They told us to wait 1 hour more. We went back to reception. We lost 1 and half hour of our sleep and breakfast. When driver and guide came told us no Dahshur tour. I showed the guide the tour I have planned and paid and then he agreed to go. I had request different drop off at time of booking (something that was ok to other tour operators) and asked 30 euro extra in van??? They did so because I couldn't cancel and take my money back after starting the tour. After destroying our mood the tour operator accepted to drop off us where I had request. If he didn't do so he would get only 1 star. The rest after my pressure was ok as planned. Our driver Mohamed Nabil was good and our guide Mohamed Samara explained perfectly everything. Thanks them.

Day tour of Giza

The guide was very familiar with all the pyramids we went to and Egyptian culture, history, mythology, and modern day information. We got to all the destinations we wanted to go to and the tour was very flexible. Overall it was an amazing sightseeing experience and we were able to take many incredible pictures.

Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis cost?

+

Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Day tour with Guide to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara, Dahshur and Memphis start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
