At the time of construction the mosque was considered remarkable for its fantastic size and innovative architectural components. Commissioned by a sultan of a short and relatively unimpressive profile, al-Maqrizi noted that within the mosque were several “wonders of construction”. The mosque was, for example, designed to include schools for all four of the Sunni schools of thought: Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanafi and Hanbali.

Great guide
We had a private tour with Miso and he was one of the best guides we have ever had. He takes his time to explain what you are looking at and answer any questions. He is very laid back which made for a very unstressful experience. He found us a great roof top restaurant for lunch with a view of the pyramids. If you are taking this tour I would find a way to do it with Miso.

Disappointed by the boat manager
The boat was clean and most of the staff were well trained and service oriented. The sites and views were wonderful. However we were there in early January and the weather was quite cold at night and the rooms were not heated. Furthermore we were unlucky enough to be given a room next to the engine which caused sleepless nights if the boat was moving, and the boat management refused to relocate us or compensate us. Those 4 rooms should not be occupied by guests to begin with and cost as much as the regular rooms. The rooms to be avoided are 323, 324, 325, 326! This is why I have given a rating of 2.

Nike Cruise
The service we had on this tour was excellent! Big Mack, our tour guide, was with us the entire trip and we were able to lengthen or shorten our visits according to our energy level. Never had to jostle to hear the explanations...and there were many! We learned so much and just loved the experience. Travelers should be warned, however, that the boat they will most likely be on is NOTHING like the boat pictured! These river bears are older and the one we were on could use a really good overhaul ! Be warned! The staff in board did everything possible to fix problems we encountered and were very attentive to us, even when they didn't speak English! Overall, though, we wouldn't trade the people to peopleexperience! Just wish the boat was better maintained! Or that you provided a more accurate description!

Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.
How much does Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.
Is Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day Tour To Islamic And Christian Cairo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Giza?
+
On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Giza?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Giza?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
