Camels & Pyramids great but beware of shopping
Osama was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and personable. The actual camel ride and pyramids visit was excellent. What was extremely annoying was the visit to the perfume/essential oils store and the papyrus store. The salesmen were good and I think really took advantage of my sister’s naivety and first day in Cairo. She purchased thousands of $ worth of products which when we joined our Viking Tour the next day we realized were over priced. I’m sure Osama got a commission but our Viking guides were acting on behalf of their clients and only took us to vetted vendors.

Perfect end of our trip to Egypt
We did this tour as the final activity on our Egypt trip. We mainly wanted to do a camel ride and learn more about the pyramids, so this tour was the perfect choice. Our guide Mahmoud El Wakeel was very nice and gave us a lot of helpful information (also about how to navigate all the vendors around Giza!). We learned a lot and hat a lot of fun woth Mahmoud as well as Karim, our driver. Thank you both very much!

Great experience, fantastic guide
While we do not generally book tours when we travel, I am very glad we booked this one. The beauty of Giza was enhanced by the excellent service provided to us by our guide, Mohamed Hamed. Mohamed was very knowledgeable, friendly and spoke excellent English. He made the sites more memorable and enabled us to get much more out of our visit to Giza than would have been the case had we explored the site solo. We are also very thankful for the excellent photographs he took for us - very professional! I highly recommend Emo Tours, and encourage visitors to request Mohamed Hamed as their guide.

Excellent tour, fantastic guide Mohamed Hamed
This was a fantastic tour - everything was easy to organise and seamless from beginning to end. Definitely ask for Mohamed Hamed as your guide, he is one of the best guides we have ever had. Not only was he extremely generous in sharing his wealth of knowledge about Egyptian history, his English was excellent, he showed us sights that we would never have known about had we not done the tour with him, and to top it off his photography skills were exceptional. We now have many wonderful photos to remember our trip to the pyramids/Sphinx. Thank you Mohamed and Emo tours!!
Response from the operator: Dear Valued Guest, In this time of gratitude, we give thanks for you. We value your patronage and appreciate your confidence in us. Counting you among our customers is something for which we are especially grateful. So On behalf of all of us at EMO TOURS EGYPT, We wish you a good day ,Thank you so much. Sincerely, EMO TOURS EGYPT

Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel cost?
+
Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day Tour to Giza Pyramids by Camel start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Giza Pyramids all inclusive,Sphinx, lunch,Camel, insid pyramid. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
