Relaxing tour of oasis.
I always wanted to see an oasis, so this was great, also it was a glimpse of the enormity of the Sahara desert. My tour guide, Yasser, was truly a gentleman. He was very informative and made the trip a very pleasant experience. The driver was excellent and courteous.

Going 4x4 in Sahara Desert
This is a must see. We used the app Viator 4x4 Desert Safari, Sandsurf and Camel Ride. It was a packed day with lots to see and do and experience. The views around Wadi al Rayan were just beautiful and what we were hoping for. 4x4 driving around the desert and riding over sand dunes and then having a BBQ at a desert camp and then riding camels and sand surfing down dunes. Couldn't have asked for more to pack into a day. I would highly recommend adding this to your agenda if in Cairo!

Great trip to the dessert.
We had a great day in the dessert with our guide Waleed. We started the day by driving to El Fayoum. Waleed told all about the oasis in detail. After that we went to Wadi al Rayan were we spent over an hour walking around and taking in the great view. after that he took us to a small mountain top where we take amazing photos. We then wet back to El Fayoum for lunch at a restaurant by the oasis were we had an amazing fish dinner. The two tables we had were overflowing with fresh fish, shrimp, salads, bread and fresh vegetables. We had a great talk with Waleed about Egyptian culture and tourism in Egypt. The highlight of our tour was not only the nature but the talks we had with Waleed during the day and also meeting the locals at Wadi al Rayan and tacking selfies with them. I have to say that after our day in the dessert I do not understand why people don´t go to Egypt any more. The whole time we in Egypt we have never felt safer. We did not have to worry about pickpockets at all, not like in other places we have been to. Egypt is a safe place to visit, the people are very nice the tours guides are the best and don´t cost that much at all. We want to thank Waleed for a unforgettable day. We will remember that day for the rest of our lives.

How far in advance should I book Day Tour to El Fayoum Oasis and Wadi al Rayan?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
