What you get

    About this experience

You should do this tour if you love adventure. Puerto Plata with its charms invites you to experience the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua (27 Charcos), and zipline discovered just a few years ago and submerged in the beautiful hills of the northern mountain range, this natural monument is part of the system of protected areas of the Dominican Republic. 27 Waterfalls is hidden up in a tropical canyon is a string of waterfalls that you can hike to and slide down, swim under, and jump off on your way back down. You'll head up with a tour guide who will help make sure you're jumping off of safe spots, might explain some of the history of these gorgeous falls, some of which have ancient legends stemming back from the Taino Indians who first discovered this gem, and from my experience will just make the adventure even more fun.

    Zip Line & Waterfalls Aventure

My driver Alfredo from Edwin’s tour was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly and made sure that I was taken care of during the tour. When coming to the Dominican Republic ask for Alfredo. You made my adventure a great success!!!!!! The vehicle was clean and a/c was ice cold. Great end to an amazing time!!

Response from the operator: Hello [Dear Roy]! It's wonderful to read your words. Knowing that we've met your expectations is our greatest motivation to keep improving. Thank you for your support! Thanks Edwin Tours

    ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

We had Bujillo all day, plus Monkey Jungle and it was perfection! It was our first time in the country, and he helped make everything so easy! We traveled with our two teenagers and 10 year old, and everyone had the BEST time! We highly recommend and will only be using them the next time we visit!

    Zip and Dip

You have to walk outside of the Amber Cove gated grounds to find the Edwins Travels van for pickup. It was easy. AND they were VERY prompt to return us by 4pm. Sádē, our driver was great. He spoke no English but was adept at using Google translate to communicate. He took us after lunch to a small local shop for cigars, coffee and souvenirs which we loved, near the drop off point outside the gate. The "Zip and Dip" was well worth it and a fantastic fun excursion for us 2 -70 yr olds and our 2, 17 yr old teen Gkids. The lunch with local food on-site at the Falls HQ was fantastic. We bought Presidente cervesa's (22oz), ice cold and excellent beer.

Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Plata.

How much does Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer cost?

    +

Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Plata usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Plata is not rushed.

Is Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Plata, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Plata can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Plata and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Damajagua Waterfalls, Zipline with Lunch and Transfer start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Plata within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Plata?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Plata experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monkeyland and Zipline Adventure from Puerto Plata, Monkeyland Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata Highlights City Tours from amber cove and Taino bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Plata?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Plata?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
