What you'll see and do
Pyramids of Dahshour
our guide will pick up from your hotel to visit Dahsur Pyramid was built by king Snefru 2613 BC, after the step, King Snefru (2680-2656 B.C), the founder of the IV Dynasty, was the first to choose the area to build his royal tomb, as it was close to the capital, Memphis. He first built the southern Pyramid, or what we call today the Bent Pyramid. The architect actually made a mistake when building this Pyramid, not realising it until the height reached about 48m (with an angle of 54 degrees). He changed his original plans to make it safer (hoping to prevent what had happened at Meidum), and finished it by modifying the angle to just 43 degrees! And that is the reason behind the strange shape of this Pyramid and why, today, it is called the Rhomboid or Bent Pyramid. Analysing the reason behind the change, Egyptologists think that the angle of 54 degrees was going to result in a very huge and high Pyramid, which would have been very unstable,

Next time we will just uber everywhere on our own
Our driver was really nice but the agency basically makes you go to various places and buy things that are 500% more expensive than in other stores. These were additional stops that weren't advertised. We repeatedly had to argue about this, as we didn't even want to make these stops, we simply weren't interested in these shops. Our trip was very short and we just lost valuable time. This factor really spoiled our excursion and made us really tense and upset. You pay for a service and without prior notifications you are being dragged to places you don't want to go and asked to buy things at inflated prices. I understand that people have to make a living but this is not the way. The driver was really a great guy and locations are gorgeous.
Response from the operator: thank you for the feedback , but make sure you wrote to correct company , thats not our service , you never used or contact us for sakkara tour , you might write that to wrong listing , everyone used our service and know who we are , read reviews , thats why you booked us , we dont know if you are spam or you took money form other to write that for us , if we are bad , you never use our service but you came through our review which are real one not fake . please check , thank you , we wish you good time in Egypt . Egypt is the most safe place in Egypt , check which company you use and wrote for them

Good experience
I booked this tour through viator specially because it had slots in afternoon as well. Tour company is really easy to follow up with and was completely in touch for the pickup through whatsapp. Our tour guide was ehab , he is very knowledgeable and keen to answer all your questions. He has a lot of information so if you are new to egyptian history, you can ask him to slow down or start with only the high level details. This worked great for us because there is so much to know in Sakkara dahshor. The only complain i have with the tour company regarding the constant bugging to write the reviews. Tour company kept asking me to write the review multiple times even after i told them that i am traveling back home and may have limited connectivity. I understand reviews are important for tour companies but this is my personal choice if i want to write or when do i want to write. This is my only complain, rest everything was good and i enjoyed my tour with Ehab

Magnificent pyramid
Great place to be and this time for the first time inside this pyramid, which was not possible the two times I was here before. It was tough but very great at the end.

Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.
How much does Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City cost?
+
Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.
Is Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dahshur Bent Pyramids , Sakkara Step Pyramids and Memphis Old City start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Giza?
+
On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Giza?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Giza?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
