    Egypt 2020...

This was a once in a lifetime experience...( although I am already considering another trip though...!) We had privatised a 5 cabins , just for 2 person.. we had a private guide who stayed with us and guided us through the various attractions along the Nile... But the most amazing part was the crew...!!! No words could describe the professionalism, courtesy, discreet and heart warming crew... our waiter , Mohamed would reach for the moon to please us... there somehow managed to set us a romantic dinner on a small island in the middle of the Nile...!!! And what a feast ..!!

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, Thank you so much for your heartfelt review! We are truly honored that your Dahabiya Nile Cruise became a once-in-a-lifetime experience—and even happier to hear you're already considering another visit. It was our pleasure to arrange a private Dahabiya with five cabins exclusively for the two of you, along with a dedicated Egyptologist guide to accompany you throughout your journey. We are especially delighted that our crew exceeded your expectations. Your kind words about Mohamed and the entire team mean a great deal to us. Creating special moments, such as your romantic dinner on a secluded island in the middle of the Nile, is exactly the kind of unforgettable experience we strive to provide. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back for another magical journey along the Nile. Warm regards, Team Luxor Travels 📱 WhatsApp: +201224689271

    Amoura Dahabiya Nile cruise

We had a 4 night cruise from Edna to Aswan on a dahabiya. This was a very relaxing way to sail on the Nile. We only technically sailed for a few hours a couple of times because there wasn’t enough wind but we were tugged by a quiet boat. There were 13 total guests on the Amoura. The food was very good, salads and fresh fruits, pita bread, fresh fish from the Nile, chicken, etc. with wine and beer to purchase. Our private tour guide from Luxor and Aswan Travel stayed on board and he said the food was good Egyptian fare. There was a crew of 9 on board that took care of us and the boat. As to the boat itself, the trim on the canopy was tattered but the furniture was comfortable and well cared for. The top deck was really lovely and we spent almost all of our time there when we weren’t visiting sights. The bedrooms on the lower level were small with very little storage available (soft, foldable luggage would be ideal). The biggest issue was the tiny bathroom. The shower was small and never drained correctly, they had a pedestal sink so no place to put stuff, and it just seemed tired. I don’t know how to improve the bathroom without getting rid of some of the other bedrooms. Anyway, don’t expect luxury in the bedroom or bathroom but since the weather and the views are spectacular on the deck, you will want to spend all of your time there. There is no nightlife onboard, it is quiet and we docked at quiet spots not next to rows of the other loud cruise ships. I thought the Nile was actually pretty clean looking but there are some insects such as gnats, flies and mosquitoes as you would expect by the river. Just bring bug spray but they really weren’t terrible. I highly recommend a dahabiya sail on the Nile. I wasn’t afraid ever in Egypt. I was more nervous in Athens!

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your Dahabiya Nile Cruise. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, delicious Egyptian cuisine, and the attentive care provided by our crew throughout your journey. It is also wonderful to know that your private guide helped make your sightseeing experience even more enjoyable. We truly appreciate your honest feedback regarding the cabin and bathroom. Guest comments like yours are invaluable, and we continually work with our cruise partners to improve the onboard experience while preserving the authentic charm of a traditional Dahabiya. We're especially pleased that you found Egypt welcoming and safe, and that you would highly recommend a Dahabiya cruise. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another relaxing adventure on the Nile in the future. Warm regards, Team Luxor Travels 📱 WhatsApp: +201224689271

How much does Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan w/ Private Sightseeing cost?

    +

Prices start at $2,200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Luxor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan w/ Private Sightseeing take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Luxor is not rushed.

Is Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan w/ Private Sightseeing worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Luxor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan w/ Private Sightseeing?

    +

Is Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan w/ Private Sightseeing suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan w/ Private Sightseeing?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Luxor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Luxor and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Luxor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Luxor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Half Day Luxor Tour Valley of Kings & Queens, Hatshepsut, Full Day Tour to East and West Banks of Luxor (Private), Full Day Tour of Luxor private. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Luxor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Luxor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
