Emmet is your guy!
Our family had a private tour with Emmet and it was one of our best tours of all time. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but was highly respectful, considerate, friendly and helpful. Our teenagers were thoroughly engaged and he made sure they were always involved. The best part about our tour was that when he realized we had our times miscalculated (our fault, not his), he personally took us on a different train back to Munich so that we wouldn't miss out on seeing the Glockenspiel. Highly, highly recommend!

A must-do experience with a great guide.
Had a very informative and sobering tour of Dachau with our private guide, Emmet. It appeared most people toured the camp on their own, and while certainly less expensive, you don't have the benefit of asking questions (in our case, literally hundreds of questions throughout the day). Emmet was everything you want in a guide - knowledgable, personable, and patient. After the tour Emmet was gracious enough to take us to the main train station, show us where to catch our train the following day to Berlin, and how to easily walk back to our hotel - this was in addition to already being 1hr over our allotted tour time. I would not hesitate to book another tour with Emmet. Cheers.

Excellent Private Dachau Tour
We had an excellent experience with Emmet as our private guide for Dachau. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the camp and the broader historical context, but was also approachable and easy to talk with, which made it comfortable for our group to ask questions and have thoughtful discussions. He picked us up at our Munich hotel, handled all of the public transportation ticketing, and made navigating the trains and buses completely straightforward. After the trip Emmet followed up with me with a couple book recommendations tailored to the particular questions our group had raised about that period in history. He clearly cares about the subject and about providing a meaningful experience for his clients. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Dachau.
