A historical tour from Cham people tohrough war with China

We really enjoyed the thoughtful, informative discussion about the history of Vietnam. It was an in depth walk through the ancient history of the Cham at the museum and then the war museum highlighted the precolonial French era through the war with china in 1979.

Military museum in Da Nang Vietnam

The tour is actually a guided visit to a military museum complex. The ticket for the museum is included in the tour cost. The museum is housed in a former military office bldg and is adjacent to a current military office in Da Nang.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback and for joining our tour. We truly appreciate your comments and hope the guided explanations helped you better understand the history and stories behind the exhibits.

Epic Two-Day Trip of A Lifetime

Hung Le, our tour guide, was knowledgeable about the history of Vietnam and was enthusiastic about sharing this information with us. Hung Le was patient with us in learning more and taking precious photographs to remember these moments. Hung Le was also determined in assisting us in fulfilling a dream to experience some of things similar to that of our family for when they were here 56 years ago. Mr. Phillip, our driver, was very helpful, friendly and kept us safe in transport from one location to another. On the first day of the trip they graciously took us to a plethora of locations: A Bunker used by Viet Cong, the American Radar Station, Spanish Tombs, The USA Landing Zone, Lady Buddha, Marble Mountain, Ho Chi Minh Museum and Fifth Military Zone Museum. We enjoyed and appreciated their dedication and services so much we asked for a second trip. On this second day, Hung Le and Mr. Phillip helped in finding the specific place of where our father/ father-in-law’s military base was located. That meant the world to us and our family. ❤️ We sincerely recommend them for future trips in the country of Vietnam. They are amazing at what they do and are wonderful human beings. Much peace and love to you all and your families.

Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Da Nang.

How much does Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base cost?

+

Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Da Nang usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Da Nang is not rushed.

Is Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Da Nang, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Da Nang can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Da Nang and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Da Nang War Tour History: Spanish-French Attack to American Base start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Da Nang within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Da Nang?

+

On Outty we rank every Da Nang experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills Small Group Tour, Marble Mountains - Am Phu Cave - Monkey Mountain Sunset tour, Lady Buddha, Marble Mountains, Coconut Jungle & Hoian City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Da Nang?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Da Nang?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
