Avoid this tour provider
WARNING: This tour provider adds on hidden fees after booking. Two months after we booked, and 18 hours before our tour (after the 24-hour free cancellation period had expired) we were informed of an added VND1,500,000 for pick-up at the port at which we had arranged to be picked-up. And we had to pay in cash at the start of our tour. Then, on the tour, we’re told we’d have to pay extra fees for admissions to two locations included in the tour, and that we couldn’t pay by either credit card or dollars. As we had no VND, we skipped those sites. In both instances I felt extorted. The independent-contractor guide, Trinh, is a lovely 23 year old girl who is fresh out of university. Her English is very good and she clearly strived to learn knew English words and American slang. I am sure that with maturity and experience she will become a good guide.

Making memories
We had a fantastic tour today! Our guide was excellent – very knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire day. We enjoyed exploring Da Nang, taking a fun and memorable coconut boat trip, and then visiting beautiful Hoi An. We also had a delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch, which was a real highlight. Our driver was wonderful as well: safe, professional, and made the journey very comfortable. They also made sure we got back to the ship on time, which we truly appreciated. Overall, it was a well-organised and enjoyable experience, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Danang and Hoi An
What a fantastic day out! Our guide did a great job — knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and always willing to adjust things to suit our wants and needs. We really enjoyed seeing Da Nang, especially the fun coconut boat experience, and later strolling through the beautiful old town of Hoi An. Lunch was a real treat as well — a tasty traditional Vietnamese meal that we both loved. The driver deserves a mention too. He drove safely, kept us comfortable all day, and made sure we were back at the ship right on time without any stress. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable, and well-organised tour. Definitely something we’d recommend to other travellers.

Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Da Nang.
How much does Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Da Nang usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Da Nang is not rushed.
Is Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Da Nang, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Da Nang can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Da Nang and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Da Nang Sightseeing, Hoi An Ancient Town Shore Excursion Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Da Nang within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Da Nang?
+
On Outty we rank every Da Nang experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills Small Group Tour, Marble Mountains - Am Phu Cave - Monkey Mountain Sunset tour, Lady Buddha, Marble Mountains, Coconut Jungle & Hoian City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Da Nang?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Da Nang?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
