Excellent guide
Shi was a wonderful guide... He's very knowledgeable and it was very compassionate. He was very caring to adjust the seats perfectly before we left. The equipment was very top notch. I had a problem with heat exhaustion on the way and passed out on the side of the road :-(... When I came to I was on his lap and he was giving me first aid. It was kind of a strange experience for me but I felt very comfortable and protected with his care. He quickly arranged a taxi to take my wife and I back to our hotel.

Cycling tour...a must do
The rural cycling tour was a fantastic way to explore some of the local industries and see part of the rural landscape that Phu Quoc has to offer. Our guide was obviously passionate not only about Phu Quoc but also Vietnam. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a bit more about the island.

Cycling and Trekking with the lovelies!
Our family had the pleasure of experiencing the Cycle and Trek tour on Phu Quoc Island with Hornbill Adventures. The entire experience, from the start to end, was wonderfully organized. Mr T was our guide and he took really great care of all of us, especially my teen son. After almost 2 hours of cycling with a few stops (temple, market, etc) we trekked through the forest to swim at the waterfall. At the waterfall, we were met with Si and Hala who had prepared a delicious steamed chicken for us! The tour felt like we were on an outing with our Vietnamese buddies! I must mention that the bicycles and gears provided were in excellent condition and impeccably clean, which added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the tour. If you're looking for a memorable and adventurous way to explore the beauty of Phu Quoc Island, I highly recommend going with Hornbill Adventures. You will not regret this opportunity to hang out with the lovely folks.
Response from the operator: Wow, thank you so much for this fantastic review! We are thrilled to hear your family had such a wonderfully organized experience on the Cycle and Trek tour. Making our guests feel like they're on an "outing with our Vietnamese buddies" is exactly our goal, and we're delighted Mr. T, Si, and Hala achieved that! Mr. T will be especially happy to know he took great care of your son. We're also glad you enjoyed the forest trek, the swim, the delicious steamed chicken, and the condition of our bicycles and gear. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Phu Quoc soon! Best regards The Hornbill Adventures Team

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phu Quoc.
How much does Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village cost?
+
Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phu Quoc usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phu Quoc is not rushed.
Is Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phu Quoc, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phu Quoc can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phu Quoc and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cycling Through Phu Quoc Rural Village start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phu Quoc within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phu Quoc?
+
On Outty we rank every Phu Quoc experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ho Chi Minh City: Motorbike Street Food Tour with 12 Tastings, Full-Day Private Guided Tour in Phu Quoc Island with Hotel Pick Up, Best Seller-Private Full-Day Tour to Ninh Binh Depart from Hanoi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phu Quoc?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phu Quoc?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
