Not for you if you are looking for fun or adrenaline nd have some experience biking
If you want to have a good time on the death road do not use redline tour operator. I've done this tour several times and this is the first time they let us out 5km after the pass where we should start officialy according to their program. During the tour we were going a meager 15kmh at the most on gravel. If you have ever ridden a mtb before this is no fun at all. Beacuse of this i waited until the last guide and proceeded to go faster until reaching the first guide. After doing this 2 or 3 times i was told to sign a document making myself responsible for any mechanical failure of the bike (the bikes have questionable maintenance and are 10 years old, my back axle was extremely loose, the front suspension was leaking, the front brake disc was noisy when not braking and the tires low on tread.) When i refused to sign something not official in the field the office called and said i should give up the bike and go with the support vehicle. Keep in mind that their reason was that i was infringing upon the experience of the others in the group. A total lie because when I asked how that could be, they would say that they didn't want the downhill bike to suffer too much. This is a normal gravel road with no technical spots what so ever. At the same time other groups were able to go quicker and didn't have guides this bad that worked against the clients. The main office also lied saying that i was told (when getting the tour) that this was a leisurely tour and that this was not acceptable behavior. When I did this tour with other operators the tour guides were cool, fun and readily prepared to go faster and actually have fun. No bla bla with the mechanical side since the bikes are made for rougher terrain than this gravel road. It is a total waste of time if you actually want to ride a mtb. If you are new to cycling or gravel roads it may be ok for your experience. Side note: before starting the gravel part i asked the guides if they had an allen key to put my seat down. After the snack spot I asked them again and their answer was that they had tried and it was not possible to put the seat down. The bike was in my eyesight the whole time and nobody had tried to do anything. The only credit I can give them is that after arguing over the phone (mid tour) they did promise to refund 50%, which they also did when I was back in La Paz.

Louis, Kenny and Martin were a fantastic team. They picked us up from the hotel and explained everything at their local facility. At no time in this adventure did I feel in danger or uninformed of the risks. Everything went at our own pace.

Had a great experience on the Death Road!
Had a great experience biking the Death Road with Red Line Biking! It was extremely affordable compared to other companies, but still served a quality trip. The bikes were really comfortable (full suspension) and the guide was very experienced, helpful and funny! Thanks again for the great day, would highly recommend Red Line Biking to anyone.

Great experience but felt rushed and unsafe at times
We found Red Line Biking in the street and they initially seemed very professional. The day before, everything was well organised – we got breakfast, all the necessary gear, and were told the group would have a maximum of 8 people. We were the last two to join, so this sounded ideal. However, on the actual day there were around 11 people in the group, which already felt like too many. The group had a big mix of abilities, with some riders wanting to go very fast while others preferred a more controlled pace. Unfortunately, the guide clearly catered more to the faster riders. At times, the guide was so far ahead that those of us at the back couldn’t even see his hand signals, meaning we had to judge the road conditions ourselves. This felt quite unsafe, especially on a route like Death Road. One person in our group even had an accident, which added to the concern. We were told we would stop regularly for photos, but because the front of the group moved so quickly, by the time we arrived it was often time to leave again. Many of the stops felt rushed and we didn’t even get the chance to take proper individual photos like other groups seemed to. A lot of the ride felt like we were essentially on our own rather than part of a guided group, which isn’t what you expect from this kind of tour. That said, the overall experience itself is incredible and definitely worth doing. The bikes and gear were decent, and the lunch and swim at the end were also enjoyable. I’m not new to mountain biking, but even I felt the pace was unnecessarily fast and, at times, unsafe. It really felt like the group had been overbooked. Overall: amazing experience, but the organisation and pacing need improvement.
