Lovely experience
I had a lovely Ebuddy called Hoang. Hoang is very well spoken and knowledgeable about the local town, its history and culture. She spoke very well in English and we had a great conversation about the city as well as my city Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺. Hoang also took such amazing photos of me to remember each experience. Thank you so much Hoang and the Ebuddies community

Best tour guide experience in Hanoi with Lulu
We had such an amazing experience with our tour guide today (Lulu)! From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. She made us feel comfortable right away and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible in Hanoi. What we loved most was how informative she was. She shared so much interesting history and stories about Vietnam, the temples, churches, Train Street, and the local culture that we would have never learned on our own. You can really tell she’s passionate about what she does and truly cares about her guests enjoying and understanding the places they visit. We honestly can’t believe how much we did today in just a few hours! We visited so many places, learned so much history, tried delicious authentic Vietnamese food, explored shopping spots, and even experienced the famous Train Street. Everything felt smooth, fun, and well organized the entire time. All of her suggestions were on point too — from the food spots to the places we visited and even the little local recommendations along the way. Everything she recommended made our experience even better and more authentic. She was also very patient, friendly, and attentive. We never felt rushed, and she always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Thank you again for making our first day in Hanoi so memorable and special. We truly wish we had booked more tours with her. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam — you’ll definitely be in the best hands!

Best way to see Hanoi: a Walk with ebuddies
I had an amazing time exploring Hanoi with Juliana through the ebuddies initiative. As a solo traveler, I was a bit worried about finding authentic Halal food, but Juliana went above and beyond to find the perfect spots for me. We did a lot of walking through the city's hidden gems, and she was so patient and kind. She also has a great eye for photography and took some of my favorite pictures from the trip! I highly recommend booking through ebuddies if you want a local, student-led perspective of this beautiful city.

Great local experience and making local friends
I had a wonderful experience thanks to Hanoi E-buddies, and especially Jessica, who I met on the 31st of March 2025. She was right on time at our hotel lobby, which immediately set a great tone for the day. Jessica took my wife and me to a local dessert spot in Hanoi that we would never have discovered on our own — it was absolutely lovely and very authentic. From there, we visited Train Street for coffee, where she kindly took some great photos of us and made the whole experience even more memorable. We also did a bit of shoe shopping for my wife, followed by a nice lunch at a local restaurant, and then enjoyed some delicious local ice cream. To wrap up the day, we went for a relaxing foot massage before saying our goodbyes. Jessica has since become a friend, and she even went out of her way to help me navigate Dong Xuan Market on another day — something I truly appreciated. A big thank you to Hanoi E-buddies for making this kind of experience possible. It’s such a unique way to explore the city with locals. Also, it’s worth noting that these guides are university students — so please be generous with your tips. They genuinely put in the effort to make your experience special.

Fantastic walking tour with Hanoi e.Buddies
Our private walking tour with Hanoi e.Buddies was truly fantastic! Jessica our tour guide was the loveliest tour guide we’ve ever met. She spent the entire morning (8am - 1 pm) with us. We got to explore multiple different sights (e.g. the Literature Temple, Ngoc Son Temple, the train street - just to name a few). Jessica was really knowledgeable and shared a lot of her culture with us (including some sweet soup 😋). Can definitely recommend this walking tour!!

Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street cost?
+
Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Customizable Private Half Day Tour in Hanoi with Train Street start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
