Best Decision for our 1st Japan Trip

This was our first time in Japan and we traveled as a family of four with our two kids during the hot summer season. With the heat, a packed itinerary, and traveling with children, we knew we wanted a convenient and reliable tour service and Tours by Jano was one of the best decisions we made for our trip! We spent a week in Japan, starting with a red eye flight from SFO to HND. From the moment we arrived, everything was taken care of. Tours by Jano arranged our airport arrival transfer, all the daily tours, and even our final airport transfer to Narita (NRT) for our flight to Manila, for the next leg of our vacation. Having everything coordinated for us made our first Japan experience so much easier and stress-free. Our itinerary included: Tokyo City Day tour, Shibuya, Sensoji Temple, Odaiba, Mt. Fuji /Gotemba/Lake Kawaguchiko Tour and Kamakura tour and a few more temples and shrines, plus a dedicated shopping spree day for the family. Our shopping day was another highlight! They took us to Don Quijote, Ginza shopping district for some retail therapy, the Nintendo and Pokémon Centers for the kids, and even the Tamiya flagship store which my husband absolutely enjoyed. What really impressed us was that Tours by Jano is so much more than just a chauffeur service. Our tour agent, Jothe (aka “Kuya Jr,” as the kids called him) was our driver, photographer, tour guide, translator, and travel adviser all in one. He also thought us some Japanese words, as he drove us to places. He was always on time, incredibly helpful, and genuinely made our days easier. He helped us with ticket queues, translations, navigating busy areas, and even recommended local favorite restaurants instead of just the typical hyped up tourist spots. Since it was our first time in Japan, it was such a relief not to worry about constantly checking Google Maps or figuring out transportation. They knew exactly where to take us and how to get around, which allowed us to spend more time enjoying the sights and less time worrying about logistics. They used a group chat through Viber to include us their client, our driver and their admin to ensure seamless communication. Jothe also had an amazing rapport with our kids. He was friendly, patient, and fun with them while remaining very professional and courteous throughout our entire trip. He accompanied us on all of our day tours, and we actually requested him back for the next few days because he did such a great job with our family. GIno handled both of our airport transfers and was equally helpful. He even assisted us until we were fully checked in at the airport. Communication was never an issue because both Jothe and Gino were very fluent in Nihongo, so there was absolutely no language barrier as they interpret every conversation for us. We also really appreciated how professional Tours by Jano was even before our trip. Sir Al stayed in communication with us and even arranged a video call beforehand to make sure our itinerary was seamless and to reassure us that they were a legitimate tour agency in Japan. They regularly emailed us to review the itinerary, were flexible with changes, and made the entire booking process very convenient. We also appreciated having the option to use PayPal for secure payment. We used 2-3 different vans during our trips and every vehicle was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Traveling to Japan for the first time, especially during the hot summer with two kids could have been overwhelming, but Tours by Jano took so much of that stress away. Everything felt organized, convenient, and personalized. Our first Japan trip was truly memorable, and Tours by Jano played a part in making it such a wonderful experience. We will for sure book with them again on our next Japan adventure! Best decision ever! 🇯🇵❤️ 5 stars service without hesitation!

Amazing experience with Tours by Jano

We are a family of four with two kids, and our son is on the autism spectrum. We carefully planned our Japan trip to make sure the experience would be enjoyable and not overwhelming for him. We found Tours by Jano on Instagram and were so happy we did! They were very responsive, flexible with their tour packages, and gave us lots of helpful recommendations to make our itinerary work for our family. We chose to do the Mt. Fuji tour and then travel directly to Osaka. It sounds like a long day, but it was actually a great option for us. It was comfortable for our kids, especially for our son who loves long car rides. It also allowed us to maximize our time in Japan by combining the Mt. Fuji sightseeing and Tokyo-to-Osaka transfer into one day. A special thank you to Mateo, who was an excellent driver and guide. He was patient, accommodating, and made the whole journey comfortable and enjoyable for our family. We highly recommend Tours by Jano, especially for families looking for a comfortable, flexible, and hassle-free way to explore Japan!

Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.

How much does Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver cost?

    +

Prices start at $75000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.

Is Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Custom Guided Day Tour to Mt. Fuji with English-Speaking Driver start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tokyo?

    +

Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tokyo?

    +

Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tokyo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
