Visit Montana 7 Colors and Red Valley with Franco

The best of all Cusco! Our guide Franco (fantastic) accompanied us to the Seven Colored Mountain, guided us throughout the tour, and recommended the best time to avoid the crowds. We continued the excursion and also visited the Red Valley. My partner and I had a great time. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Cusco Rainbow Mountain tour 2025

My name is David Miller, from Jamaica. I booked for Cusco Rainbow Mountain, my guide was Mr. Juvenal Crispin, I was contacted almost immediately after booking my tour to confirm same. Mr. Crispin ensured that I was fully informed as to any additional options available to me for future visitations to Cusco. On the eve of our scheduled trip, Mr. Crispin ensures and confirm our departure time ahead of night fall. On the morning or our departure time for Cusco Rainbow Mountain, Mr. Crispin contracted me to be notify me that he was at our hotel awaiting my exit from the hotel in time for briefing before our departure to Cusco Rainbow Mountain. The entire trip was professionally executed from our hotel pick up to breakfast/rest stops to entering the Rainbow Mountain, Mr. Crispin was extremely professional in the execution of his responsibilities, he ensured my nephew, Lincoln was attended to being that he was less an experienced hiker. One unfortunate situation occurred where Mr. Crispin had to attend to another member of another group with own oxygen, which I believe he went beyond the call of duty to render assistance to someone else other than that of his own group, his briefing to our group become the saving grace of another member who had an emergency. As such, I have no reservations in appointing full score to Mr. Crispin at this time.

Response from the operator: We are glad to hear that your experience with us was great our happy customers are our motivation to keep going. Your welcome back anytime.

Amazing, Stress-Free Trip to the Rainbow Mountain

Our trip to Rainbow Mountain was unforgettable—not just because of the stunning views, but also thanks to our amazing driver and guide, Sutta. He was incredibly welcoming, light-hearted, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. Throughout the drive, Sutta kept the mood upbeat with his great conversation and knowledge, sharing stories about the region, its people, and traditions. In Peru, many people don't speak much English, but he was fluent, which made the trip and communication much easier. He wasn’t just a driver—he was like a friend on the journey. He also gave us tons of helpful tips for getting around the city and recommended local spots we never would have discovered on our own. The long drive to Rainbow Mountain felt much more enjoyable and comfortable because of him. He even brought oxygen cylinders for our family in case we felt nauseous during the trek up the mountain. If you ever have the chance to visit, I highly recommend asking for Sutta—he’ll make your trip that much more memorable!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words it been a pleasure for us we really apresenta your choice and trust we hope to see you again..

Cusco to Rainbow Mountain: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Cusco to Rainbow Mountain cost?

+

Prices start at $200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cusco to Rainbow Mountain take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Cusco to Rainbow Mountain worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cusco to Rainbow Mountain?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cusco to Rainbow Mountain suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cusco to Rainbow Mountain?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cusco to Rainbow Mountain start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
