Dishonest - took our money, never showed up, never refunded

We paid IZI Peru Travel $239 through GetYourGuide for "Cus-03: Machu Picchu - 2 Days" on 18 July 2026, 6:00 pickup, and built a whole trip around it - flights, hotels, everything. The day before, we messaged them twice to confirm the pickup address and got no answer. On the morning of the tour we were at the meeting point on time. Nobody came. No guide, no transport, no call, no message. We stood there watching other groups leave. Then, after the tour we never got, they sent us a cheerful message hoping we had "an incredible experience" on it. We phoned and emailed for weeks. Not one real reply - no explanation, no reschedule, no refund. They just kept the money. In our experience this is a dishonest operation: they take your payment, vanish on the day, and then ignore you. We lost the tour, the $239, and a day of a trip we had flown across the world for. If you are booking a trek in Cusco, book with an operator that actually answers its phone.

+

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
